  1. I use TD insurance for my 2006 venture. cost is $600/year. ????????????
  2. My riding buddy has a 2008 Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic, therefore it has the 110 ci engine. He is trying some different mufflers, so offered me his Rineharts, to see if I would like the sound in my RSV. When I went to put them on, I found out that they are made for a 2" pipe, and the RSV has a 1 3/4" pipe. Anybody know of a solution to this? thx
  3. I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction for handle bar risers for a 1996 Royal Star. I would like them to be about 2" long. Any brands, web sites, etc would greatly be appreciated. thx
  4. I have used Lucas in my vehicles and have had success, especially with minor transmission slippage etc. Therefore I added about 1/2 litre to my Kawasaki Nomad to "smoothen out" the shifting etc. Not a good idea. The clutch went out in about 2500 miles. As the bike mechanic who fixed my clutch said, "never, never, never in a wet clutch" should you add something like Lucas. Just my experience. thx
  5. Just thought I would inform you that Corey at Medicine Hat Motorcycle Service is the best Japanese bike mechanic in the area. He also sells tires, oil, filters, etc. You'll be glad you used his shop.
  6. thx so much for letting us know about this video. it is fantastic and will make you smile.

  8. just finished the lowering of rear end, front was done a few weeks ago. wow, what a difference, awesome handling, including low speeds. now it handles even easier than my kawasaki nomad. i recommend this to any inseam challenged riders.
  9. thx for the pictures, now it makes sense.
  10. Sorry to be a pain, but nowhere are there any instructions for the changing of the brake calipers with the new bracket from Baron's. I had no trouble changing the lowering links, but the bracket for the brake has me completely confused. The instructions that come with the kit are useless, and can't find any instructions on this site. Any decent kind of instructions with or without pictures would greatly be appreciated. I have lowered the front by one and one half inches. I look forward to riding with the entire bike lowered, as inseam is just to short for this tall of a bike (RSV).
  11. Like that sound. I removed the back baffle as you did, sure would love to here about your fibrosleeve mod. Hope you can get time to do a writeup for those of us who are interested. thx so much:dancefool:

  13. Hi there! New to the group as just purchased a 2006 Venture. I am having it lowered in the front and rear. I am curious what you meant when you wrote "I took 3/4 out of my kickstand" ? Could you please explain - such as 3/4" from the top end - redrilling holes , etc. thx
