Contacted a friend who is realy into those bikes and he is going for it. He is saving me from myself.

That is what I did with the Venture. First she saw of it was when she came home and it was in the driveway. This was followed by three weeks of decidedly frosty weather. When I bought the Merc I stashed it at a friends place for four months while working up the courage to tell her.

Thanks for the sympathy. It is a tough choice, happily married or die happy.

Just found a Moto Guzzi 600 with a rebuilt motor which has only test hours on it and a custom built sidecar. The car cost $7000.00. Both for sale for $4500.00. He built them then got sick and died before he could ride them. They have been parked in the garage for a year and a half. I am tempted but the wife would kill me.

Spent today with my rod in the car show. HOT day. Lots of fun. I don't know about western Canada separating, it seems Ottawa has already cut the country off at the lake head. They seem to think there are the great lakes then China. Here in BC there is some thought to BC and Yukon going it alone but we just might allow Alberta and Saskatchewan to tag along. Oregon and Washington were originally to be part of Canada but some dolt of an Englishman jumped off his ship and claimed them for England. When the border was drawn all English claims were given up so they joined the USA. We wouldn't mind them joining us now.

Hmmmmmm......At the top it says "never replace your light bulb again" then it goes on to say " life of lightbulb 5-10 years" Makes me wonder just how honest they are.

I started owning boats not long after I got my first bike ( bicycle that is). I found I really loved sailing, especially in the gulf islands. Lots of challenges with freaky winds, extreme tides and insane stink potters ( er...I mean power boaters)

now if it only had a sail. Does this mean Saltspring is in danger of invasion?

Some people have p***s envy it seems others have 2nd gen envy.

Here on the wet coast you ride. Especially if you are trapped in the house with the boss and she has nothing to do. If it isn't snow or hail it is no problem.

$300.00 minus $200.00 for the wear and tear on the bike. Keep the trailer. When I first got my 02 my wife and I went on a trip. The first several miles were on a high speed freeway then we got into the twisties. It was a handful and by the second corner I was ready to sell it. Before the third corner I glanced at the speedometer. I was going over twice the speed limit fully loaded and with two up. I slowed down and everything was fine. My fault, not the bikes.

Beware.....I worked with a girl who had a BMW 650 Boxer. She could not reach the ground so she would fire it up and put it in gear then jump on. She would dismount the same way. She also hit a deer on the way home from work and cut the deer in half and kept going. Your big bikes are not safe if she is really determined.

No matter how hard it rains it is always sunny on a Venture.

What a beautiful day. Wife off at work. Lots of sunshine. Got my gin and tonics out on the sundeck. The nursing students next door are out nude sunbathing. Perfect!

Those self driving cars are scary. What happens a couple years down the road when the electronics start shorting out?

Don't goes for that. I gots a bridge in Vancouver I sell you for cheep. Peoples pays you to go over bridge and you makes many moneys. Send cash in large boxes and I send deed to bridge.

Took me a while to get used to the heel-toe shifter. At first I did not like it but now would not want to go back to a toe shifter. Just call me "Crusty".

I used to have a Madura 1200. 1/4 turn on the throttle gave you 150 mph right now. I really liked that bike. In fact I did get clocked at 150 but no way could they catch me. Just after these bikes came out there was a picture of an accident on the 401 where the bike was going full bore and a car pulled out in front of him. He cut the car in half. Killed four in the car and himself. That speed and power is addictive. The cops actually asked me to slow down. After a few years with it I decided that it might be a good idea to live a little longer and sold it. I am very happy with my Venture now.

I have some gold bricks I can let you have cheap, you just have to wait for the paint to dry.
