  1. I rode one and thought that it handled great. My problem is that they are just not made for tall riders. The dealer even told me when I was looking that I probably would not be comfortable on it. One dealer told me last year that Can Am was aware off the issue with tall riders and would possibly be coming out with one that would better fit. Haven't heard any more about it though.
  2. Well, that does make more sense. I can see where if enough of the gas leaked out before igniting that it could certainly get nasty.
  3. I get it from anywhere I am. Watering Hole, Home Page, Forum Home Page, etc. I've tested it with Firefox and with IE.
  4. I agree with you if we are just talking about material possessions....insurance can't replace my family though.
  5. Gary, I just don't know what to tell you. I use Firefox exclusively and I NEVER have to clear my cookies. If you are talking about the "Google" search it is always there for me. I'm talking about the search button in the second menu bar at the top.
  6. I can control which forums show up in the "Unanswered Threads". I just removed the classifieds from that one. What else should be removed?
  7. Sounds a bit suspicious to me. I have a hard time believing that if my pocket caught fire, I would be unable to beat it out before I was badly burned.
  8. The pic of the camera indicates that they have a profile picture. You have to view their profile to see it. That is a separate thing than the avatar.
  9. Don't let them get you down Eddie...but I know better than that. The new bike is beautiful and Harley has made some fantastic improvements. That being said, I never had a single problem with my last one and it was an '86 model.
  10. Now I'm thinking that I want a crotch rocket.
  11. The best way to remove chrome is to take it to a plater and have it chemically stripped. Chrome is pretty hard. If you blast it, there is a good chance that by the time you get all the chrome off, you are going to damage the metal.
  12. I've used the lemon law and it did produce the desired results but PATIENCE is key. I think that the companies count on people giving up and moving on and very few try to settle early because they know that most will be dropped. Expect it to take at least a year and maybe two. At least that was my experience.
  13. I saw a sign on a house the other day that said "Trespassers will be shot, Survivors will be shot again".
  14. Yes, it is fine. Some people say that you shouldn't use one on a dry cell type battery but that is false also. You should never use one to CHARGE that type of battery but to maintain it with one is absolutely no problem.
  15. It's a bit confusing because there are actually 2 photo albums. The forum software didn't originally have photo albums as part of the package. I had to use a third party add-in for the picture gallery. Years later, VBulletin added the photo albums to the forum software. So, we now have 2 different ones. I probably should remove one of them but it would mean deleting many photos and regardless of how many times I post about the change, some will not see it and not get their pictures moved to the other album. So, the notice you see about pictures below your location actually comes automatically when pictures are added to the vPicGallery photo album. You find that one by clicking on vBPicGallery in the lower menu bar at the top of the forum. Third link from the left between User CP and FAQ. You can also access it from your UserCP. Under settings and options, "Edit VBPicGallery".
  16. Yes, they are most likely too large. What size are they?
  17. We're getting hammered here right now also. I've used the snowblower one time this year but I will sure be using it again here in a few minutes.
  18. Will certainly do so. 50 years is a LONG time. I can only imaging the loss you must be feeling.
  19. Good deal. I asked because there is one on the Cleveland, OH Craigslist that looks almost just like that one. They are asking $225.00 for it.
  20. I was trained yearly when I worked for the Texas Utilitiy Generating Company. That was years ago and I know I need a refresher but I still know pretty much what to do. I've only had to lend assistance twice. Once when a young lady fell asleep at the wheel somewhere between Dallas, TX and Waco, TX. She left the road and straddled a guard rail that rolled her over. I got stopped and her car was still spinning on the roof when I got to it. She was already crawling out when I got to her. Except for being in shock, she appeared to be OK. I got her in the correct position for shock and covered her up. We just talked until the paramedics arrived. The other time was a choking victim at the DFW airport. I was walking to my gate when I noticed a lady choking at one of the food vendors. She had her hands in the chocking position but though a few people were staring at her, nobody was doing anything. I walked over and asked if she was choking and she nodded yes. I did that hienylick thing and it worked. She asked if I had time to sit with her for a few minutes so I sat with her and she held my hand and cried until I had to get to my gate. Neither seemed like big things to do but I will admit that it is very gratifying when you are able to help somebody in need.
  21. Is that a particular brand you are looking for or just the style?
  22. hmmmm........I think I'm sensing a bit of sarcasm. That's OK though.
  23. Yes, because it was starting over with the same mess that got the first one deleted.
  24. Well said. Thank you.
  25. Those are pretty cool bikes. I ran across a good deal on this one about 3 years ago. Sold it pretty quick though.
