  1. Well, it was premature. I have the money to pay it off but looking at the finances, there are a couple other things that I think I will pay off instead. Interest rate on the bike is 1.9%. I have a couple other things at higher interest and it would make more sense to pay them off at this time. Oh well......it was exciting for a moment.
  2. Today my 2013 Harley Road Glide is all mine. It is paid off in full. I felt some pain after selling a perfectly good '99 Venture that had been paid for a long time and hated adding a motorcycle payment to our bills but it is done now. So I KNOW it's only a Harley but whatever it is, it is all mine now.
  3. Yea, we usually put in at Grider Hill. Don't know why, we just do. It's not as nice as some of the places but typically not very crowded. I knew they were raising the level again but haven't been back since they did. Looking forward to it at some point.
  4. I will just admit that reading our story...his story...brought tears to my eyes. I so with that a day would come when we can all live in peace and the senseless killing will stop but the reality is that it probably never will. We owe so much to our brave soldiers like Brian and your daughters. God bless them all and our prayers will be with you and the families affected.
  5. Oh we love Cumberland. We have been there several times. Last time was he fall of 2013 though. We first found it years ago when we went to a MTA rally in Somerset. It's a haul pulling that boat down there from Ohio though. I was pulling it with a 1/2 ton Avalanche and though it gets the job done, it is at its limit.
  6. I would be surprised if they one they sell is not the same as the one for the Goldwing.
  7. I agree that their MPG figures are questionable. My Road Glide gets right at 40 MPG riding two up and pulling the Bushtec trailer fairly heavily loaded. I also think that their performance numbers are a bit low. Maybe not though. I've done the stage one on my Road Glide and that does make a difference.
  8. Well, every boat I have ever owned seemed to have cost me money for repairs. Knock on wood, our current boat has so far not had any problems at all. I actually have it on the market now and somebody is supposed to come look at it today at 2:00 but Eileen told me this morning that she doesn't think we should sell it. She really loves going out on it. The thing is, I just sold the Avalanche that I pull it with so if we keep it, we will be docking it somewhere probably in the Sandusky or Port Clinton, OH areas. We'll see. Here is a picture of it on a trip we took to Lake Cumberland, KY. We camped on it for a week.
  9. Donation made. I wish it could have been more but if everybody kicks in a few bucks, I know it will help. So sorry for your families loss.
  10. Thanks. It does appear to be working. Some folks don't get them but it seems that it is mostly people who use Yahoo or AOL. Those two seem want to put them in the trash or spam folders. Otherwise, it seems ok.
  11. I may have found the issue. Let me know if it still happens over the next day or so.
  12. Thanks folks. She does love it. She loved the Crossfire also and it was hard for her to part with. I felt so bad that I offered to keep it too if she wanted to. The problem with the Crossfire was that it is NOT a winter car for around her. It sat in the garage from about November to the end of March. I had to charge the battery to get it started in order to take it in and trade it. Hadn't been started in almost 5 months. She doesn't drive much anyway. She only put about 20,000 miles on the Crossfire in over 3 years..maybe 4 years I don't remember. She drove the Avalanche some in the winter but just doesn't go much of anywhere in the winter anyway.
  13. Here is some information about the arrangements for Eddie. It's all I have right now. I so wish that I could go over there but am on my way to Indianapolis for a meeting that I absolutely cannot get out of. Eddie is at Donelson Johns and Evans Funeral Home at 5391 Highland Rd, Waterford 48327. Visitation is today from 4pm to 8pm and a"Celebration of Life" is tomorrow, Mar 16th at 11am with interment to follow.
  14. Yes it does. A lot of the Nissan cars do. I've never owned one but have driven them from time to time and from my little experiences, really like them. Very smooth. Time will tell.
  15. Yes, memory seats. Settings for two people. Also electric telescopic and tilt wheel that also save with the seat memories. Not sure about the mirror but it's got 360 degree cameras that show front, sides, rear, etc. I know the mirror has the Homelink setup for garage doors and etc. Rear hatch electrically raises and lowers and the back seats electrically raise and lower also. Will I think they go down with a spring loaded mechanism but electrically raise. Also, 11 speaker Bose system with sub woofer that sounds amazing.
  16. Yea, it does have remote start also. That is something that I've never had before.
  17. Yes, not only did I trade the Crossfire but also the Avalanche. We are downsizing a bit. We had too many cars for two drivers. I Caravan is my company car and I drive it almost all the time. The Crossfire sat in the garage all winter. So the wife drove the Avalanche and though we liked it, I was finding more and more rust issues with it. I was under it a couple of months ago replacing a evaporator canister solenoid and was shocked at the rust on everything including the frame. Also had bubbles starting to come through the paint on the drivers side. Very disappointed. I bought it used and it looked great when I bought it but it was sure rusting. It had also started using a quart of oil about every 1,000 miles. Not good for an engine with 65,000 miles on it. So, we decided to get down to one personal car, my company car and the bike. We knew we wanted a small to mid sized SUV or Crossover and looked at pretty much everything. The Murano has great reviews pretty much everywhere you look but as this is a newly designed model, reviews were a bit limited in regards to long term reliability and etc. Basically though, it's the same drive train as the older models so in that regard it should be fine. The Platinum edition is pretty much loaded from the start. This one also has the "Technology Package" which includes a few things that I could have done without but also a couple of things that I like in regards to safety so we went with it. Platinum edition also adds the 20" wheels in place of the standard 18". Not sure I like that. Probably only means that replacement tires will be more expensive. I've had some fairly loaded cars but this one has things that I never thought that I would need and probably don't. I've had heated seats but these are heated and cooled. I'm had sun roofs but this has the panoramic sun roof that goes all the way back. Has a light that flashes inside the door by the side mirror if somebody is in your blind spot. Also has forward collision avoidance so if you are using the cruise control and are distracted, it automatically slows you down if you run upon somebody too close. Lot's of other things that I probably haven't even discovered yet. Am/FM/CD/Sirius/IPod/Iphone/Bluetooth. Hands fee calling and hands free texting though I'm sure we'll not use the texting feature. Way too complicated.
  18. OK...today we decided to go look at cars as we were planning to sell Eileen's Crossfire and replace it with another SUV or Crossover of some type. Didn't plan to buy anything today but this thing just followed us home. 2015 Nissan Murano Platinum. AWD, Navigation, Panoramic sunroof, collision avoidance system, etc. It has more gadgets than I'll ever figure out but it is fun trying.
  19. I am just shocked, saddened and heartbroken to report that longtime member and dear friend Eddie Happ has passed away. I received a message from big mike this morning letting me know. It is a sad day. I have absolutely n details at this time. Please keep his family in your prayers.
  20. First of all, have you looked at your manual and understand how it works? It only works in 4th and 5th gear I think and won't set above 80 MPH. I think that my '99 only worked in 5th gear but am pretty sure that was due to the DynaTek ignition module.
  21. I think the confusion comes from the fact that the original Royal Stars, the first generation, did have a different rear suspension and they would not work. The second generation Royal Stars are the same as the RSV.
  22. He said he has one week. Do you really think he could listen to all of Cowpuc's stories on ONE WEEK?
  23. No, I think it's like 3 days. Don't remember for sure.
  24. If you were expired, you would not be able to post. Thanks for letting me now. For those who say that they have NEVER gotten one, that would usually be because you no longer use the email that you have registered here OR your mail provider is putting them in the spam or trash folder. Yahoo is VERY bad about that.
  25. Just click on "settings" in the upper right corner of the page. Scroll down to "Paid Subscriptions" in the left menu and click on that. It will show your expiration date. That is also where you renew. Renewing early doesn't take away any time, just adds a year to the expiration date.
