  1. A feller can always find more valves, and this engine isn't back together just yet,, make take a while, always finding more things to play with.
  2. OOOoooooooo that'll cost ya!!!:happy65:
  3. Thanks Rob, Brantford MC was pleasant enough to lend me theirs, but they got a little unpleasant when I came back the second day to borrow another one and they said they had lent it out already and I said I could sell them one. Well anyways, they have theirs back, I got my shims exchanged and all is good now, only cost me a few peperettes. Now Flyingfool, is sending me one to test out, so I should have my own soon. Thanks again. Carl
  4. Bet she got you didn't she!:happy65: Happy Birthday, enjoy getting older.
  5. You mean to say that we will be able to walk through soon?????? Next we have to convince Wizard756 that work needs to be done! Good going olde boy, one step at a time and you'd be surprised how little you can get done in one day,,,don't ask me how I know.
  6. Guess a picture would explain a lot for us, just to be sure. Normally, the sifter pedal is hooked to a linkage which is then hooked to the shaft that goes through the stator cover (bottom right). On the engine side of the cover the shaft is attached to another linkage with a knuckle. That knuckle wants to point down, but should be pointed up. Either way the cover will go on, but if the knuckle is pointed down it will be a struggle and eventually the case will crack, so the right way is to have it pointed UP!.
  7. Did I hear you say twoface
  8. Looks real nice,, bet Chad was happy to help you out!
  9. I would think that the preparer would be responsible for the unpaid taxes,, after all, they made the errors, and they are the ones who cheated. I would get my lawyer involved.
  10. Thanks for all your offers and replies,, and yes, some replies were surely of the VR kind,,, not they they were kind, it was just that type,, not that there was a whole lot of typing, but I know you was all just saying, and seeing as we're on here saying,,,, well thanks. I don't plan to cross the river, and I doubt if you could throw it that far anyways, I probably have to swim out a ways to find it and I don't swim very well, especially in the winter. The mail is too slow and half the cost of me buying one would be used up in postage, so that would be against a Dutchman's rules, so much for that thought, but all is appreciated anyways. I'll see if somebody from the local dealer will lend me theirs, otherwise we'll have one available right local in my shop. Wizard, I know Mother has one, but there again it's cheaper to buy one and then I have one for the next time. Hope this was not too long a read,,, I had to stop early, running out of ink!
  11. I need a valve adjustment tool, anyone close have one to lend out?
  12. Scamper! It just kind of showed up on the radar, and fit.
  13. For the bumps in the gas tank, try filling it with water and then freezing it. I've never seen it done but the theory is good. Just don't put it in your home freezer or you'll throw everything else out, including the freezer.
  14. Not good Carlos,, banged up knee and bummed up truck,,,, don't worry too much about the knee,, that will heal,,,, now about the truck,,was it a Chevy? Will be thinking about ya. Just think about this a pre-retirement.
  15. Does it fly now???? Looks good, now don't go overdoing it.
  16. I was looking to buy caliper seals,,, nice price, $18 and change. So I went to the order sheet and it told me that it would cost almost $90 for shipping or $18.87 if I shipped to the US. I think $19 is enough for something that small, but $90,,, what with that? Guess they don't like non Americans.
  17. I would add seafoam before the first change but not on the final change. Only time will tell if the tranny has been affected,,, good luck!
