  1. I did the delink within the last year. I’m still not convinced I bled all the air out regardless of how experienced I am at it.
  2. After rebuild is the pedal firm again? If so sounds like maybe some pistons are Stuck.
  3. @Steve S I successfully fiberglassed my trunk bottom on my 87. I did that naïve of fixing the ABS along with a strong background in fiberglassing. I know there is a strong support for using plastifix also I just bought a heat gun that has the ability to plastic weld different compounds it’s a Steinel https://www.eastwood.com/poly Vance-plastifix-kit-white-50-ml-2501.html?wickedsource=google&wickedid=Cj0KCQjwqoibBhDUARIsAH2OpWjZf_CqMgfeTMJ9rVyukBRNo2a09y1EWG8QnXb8D8VS2KuQDSmLDgYaAgxlEALw_wcB&wickedid=629946432706&wcid=18669317217&wv=4&wickedsource=google&wickedid=Cj0KCQjwqoibBhDUARIsAH2OpWjZf_CqMgfeTMJ9rVyukBRNo2a09y1EWG8QnXb8D8VS2KuQDSmLDgYaAgxlEALw_wcB&wickedid=629946432706&wcid=18669317217&wv=4&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqoibBhDUARIsAH2OpWjZf_CqMgfeTMJ9rVyukBRNo2a09y1EWG8QnXb8D8VS2KuQDSmLDgYaAgxlEALw_wcB
  4. @inthewind60 also I don’t think anyone mentioned yet from your original post. The dash check has nothing to do with the compressor, I’m assuming the “bicycle pump” you're referencing is the side stand indicator (first block). If the trans is in gear with the side stand down the starter will not engage. Additionally the compressor and CLASS will only activate when the key is in the ACC position.
  5. Is it a secondary starter? A guy I ride with had a Harley trike and he doesn’t like using the reverse because he’s afraid of killing his starter.
  6. Praying for you man! That is some crazy damage! Godspeed your recovery.
  7. Misses says Make wings cause pops is coming over to watch Football…I can handle that
  8. Love it all! Don’t sell, hoard and buy more 🤪. The market is prime! I have a 99 750ss and have my down payment on a 94 FXDL when the owner decides it’s time to sell, as well as my 87 Venture so I share your nostalgia
  9. I’ve settled down now but I travelled extensively for work for many years and embraced the mantra of one of “my Scoutmasters…”We didn’t travel 2k miles to eat what we could eat, or do what we can do at home”
  10. !!!!!!! I LOVE it when somebody recognizes a restaurant! How random is it a guy in WV knows a little place in SC? And for it to come together here on our little slice of the internet. Yeah we all know the tourist attraction places but not often off the beaten path ones.
  11. I do have a heel toe shifter with floorboards. Mine came with the conversion so I forget that it’s not standard.
  12. @saddlebum I figure it worked for Alice Cooper 🤪
  13. My thoughts exactly…unfortunately today is slipping away.
  14. Google says it’s the 15th but today is the second Saturday 🤷‍♂️
  15. I noticed how much cleaning I’m going to have to do. Power washed my 30+ year old aluminum garage doors in prep for paint the other day. Unfortunately a lot of that old chalky residue flew through the panel seams and covered the bikes in white splotch.
  16. Hi and welcome @Elton like @Patmac6075 said the key needs to be in the ACC position to activate the CLASS. If it still doesn’t work the circuit card likely needs to be re-soldered due to cold and cracked joints. I to have the short leg problem with a 30” inseam. The problem with riding without air is it’s a really harsh ride. The forks bottom out and the rear is like getting hit in the back with a hammer. I suggest putting in progressive springs up front and alleviate the fork problem. I’ve heard too about some folks shaving out some foam. Recently I started wearing boots with a larger sole and that’s helped.
  17. Cool looking place! We’ve got a place similar in Park City, a couple of muscle cars on lifts with dining tables underneath. a few custom bikes, a Duc 998, cool murals, garage theme everywhere. Excellent food too
  18. I too have never before encountered such a welcoming group of strangers. Everyone here is a genuinely good person with only the best intentions in mind. Even if a member is the type to blast someone on another forum they understand it will not be tolerated here. As far as the search and you shall see idea…yeah I’m sometimes more inclined to start a new thread rather than reviving one 10 years old if I have further questions. I do try to link the old thread.
  19. How do you like the cup on the throttle side? My cruise is broken so that’s not an option. Do you just reach across body? I like having my GPS on the left. Also having my brake hand not occupied gives me peace of mind.
  20. So I was going to piece back my mistake but it looks like the hardware is plastic threaded rod. Does that seem right? I’m imagining they did this to act like a shear pin and save the deflectors. Thoughts? And anyone know where to find threaded plastic rod locally?
  21. I used to heat my house primarily in a wood stove. I’ve cleaned up more deadwood and fell more trees than any common man should. The brake has gotten me Stymied before, but not that bad.
