    I did today what I have been dreading. I canceled my insurance and turned in the tags. I can not ride with my shoulder messed up.

    Shot field archery in the 80's with a Bear Tamberlene. Shot 3D for a long time after that. Still have the Browning Mag Reflex that I used for 3D. Now I have a PSE Exfinity and a Dartin and two recurves.

    I feel for those in the north with the cold and snow. As for where I live, we haven't had one day or night that the temp dropped below 0*. As for Jeff and his WWW, he did a fair job of missing us all year. Of the total maybe 20" and our grass stayed green all year.

    I have one more thing to add to this thread. On the FB page you do not know if the rider had leathers or jeans. Maybe those riders had shorts on and got their lags cooked. I have seen plenty people riding in shorts and I will bet the farm that you have also.

    Glad someone will be riding soon. As for me I don't think I will be riding this year. Problems with left shoulder and can't reach the bars.

    Did your new headlight come with a mounting plate? I have been seeing them on e bay but not sure if that will fit.

    The only riding I will be doing when it stops will be on the mower. My grass is beginning to look like a hay field.

    I don't record the shows but watch them when they are on just to see some of the cars that I have owned will bring in todays market. Like 69 Firebird, 57 Belair conv. with cont. kit, 55 chevy, 62 chevy,72 Olds. 72 Cougar XR7, 72 Mustang Mach1. and one I almost forgot 65 Ply. Fury.

    Nice looking old truck Puc. I put over 350,000 miles on the one I had. I did notice that the front springs look a little weak and bowed. May need to be re sprung before the main leaf breaks and leaves you stuck out in the boonies.

    Jeff sorry to hear that your job cut your pay 20% but you don't need to leave. I know the clock is ticking but it hasn't stopped yet. If you leave you will be missed by many of your friends and brothers.

    Well you can't fix stupid. You have to look on the bright side. You did get out for a nice sunny drive.

    It is in an estate auction. So it could bring big or it could go cheap. It showed some paint flaws so it has been around for a while. It is also in NorCal. so it should pass emissions. I would venture to say it will sell for around $40,000.00 so if you have :mo money: go for it.

    I would try to find a set of HD take off pipes. Ones without the cats, drill out the centers and be good to go at around $100.00 and save the for the tank.

    Thanks Puc for posting it and Sly too for sending it. I got a good out of it. On the serious side though. I had the same injury to my left leg as he said in the vid. They did not use dead bones in my leg though, they took them from my right hip instead along with a plate to hold them together. That was 1972 and the plate is still there.

    As Puc said. You will find that there is a lot of Venture trikers here but they are scattered all over. I have an 03 RSMV and a V star 1300 tour also and like them both. The best way to meet some of them you should try to make Don's MD. It is the second weekend in June. Hope to see you there.
