  1. Update on the wife. She had the surgery on the 30 th and they got all of the cancer. Her lymph Knode's were clear but she will need some radiation treatments and goes for an appointment today to see how many she will need. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
  2. The wife hit a deer early last month, it did some damage to the car but not drastic. She did have to go to the hospital for bruised ribs. the xrays showed a spot on her breast and with other tests they found a small spot of cancer. We are thanking that deer for jumping out in front of her as we would have not known that she has breast cancer and we caught very early. She will be going in for surgery on the 30 th.
  3. If anyone is looking for a new ride and is interested in a new Venture. I saw two of them at my local bike shop. Both are 2018 and Charcoal grey . I am not sure of the price but if anyone wants to check them out they are a Twiggs Cycles in Hagerstown MD.
  4. When I was looking for a tire changer, I went with a No-Mar and have been happy with it. I have changed 6" mower tires to some of the biggest bike tires.
  5. Maybe I should check out the hitch on mine, it's an 06 and I tow with it a good bit.
  6. Yes those OEM brackets are weak, that is why I was making them out of stainless steel. I still have the patterns to make all of the parts that I made a few years ago.
  7. I used the Truck-light phase 6 led in mine . they work very well and as bright as my HID headlight.
  8. Nice ride Don. Hope you enjoy it for a long time.
  9. I am interested will have to see how the things go.
  10. When Celia and I got married her mom and dad made a bet that we would not last 3 years. So after 10 years I ask them both who won. It will be 50 years come Aug,18 and we are still one.
  11. Carl the steering head bearings were my first thing I did. I haven't had a chance to check the rear yet.
  12. I am not sure that may be the problem. We changed the front springs and rebuilt the forks a couple years ago.
  13. Hi all I seem to have developed a high-speed wobble in my RSV. I have checked the steering head and it is fine. I find that it starts to wobble at about 75 MPH and if I try to go any faster it gets worse and it feels like it is the wheel bearings or the swing arm bearings. I have also checked the tires, they are three yrs old with about 3500 miles on them. Any thoughts from those who may know more than me?
  14. Noy sure if Wiz still has his old bike or not you could send him a PM.
  15. J&P cycles to the rescue. I got my brothers H-D Road King last fall from my nephuw, my brother passed 3 yrs ago and the bike had set for 5 yrs. I was going over it and found that the tires were dater one in 08 the other in 14. the right front calliper is leaking also. The local HD can't get the calliper but wanted $89.95 for the rebuild kit.I got both tires and the rebuild kit for the brakes for under $300.00.
  16. I have a good one if you need it.
  17. I had a leak on mine a couple years ago and thought it was the clutch slave but it was not. It was dry as a bone when I got it out. My leak was the valve cover gasket on the left rear and running down behind the fins to drip just behind the slave.
  18. Well My ride was only 2yrs old when I got it but she turns 20 this year. And my newest ride is a 1995 H-D Road Glide that my brother owned till he passed four years ago.
  19. Hay Reiny are you still looking for a seat? I have a Saddleman Road Soffa that I am not using. If you would be interested in trying it.
  20. Just getting to this. Happy New Year to all.
  21. Hi all feeling good enough now to give an update. I had the surgery on Dec 30. Took about 6 hrs. for the surgery and they made five incisions and removed 2/3 of the upper lobe. They let me come home Jan 2. No driving or lifting anything over 10# for 6 weeks and I will need oxygen at times while I heal.
  22. I bought my Venture off my oldest brother in 05 with 4300 miles. He had been running 92% in it. I tried 87% and got crappie milage also. I went to 89% and my milage went up to around 200 miles per tank and have been running it ever since.
  23. Thanks all for the well wishes. I have a new surgery date of Dec.16 but they want me in Morgantown on the 15 to go over the procedure and some testing. It looks like I will be there for about four days. They have a room set up for the wife at the Ronald McDonald house so that she can be there with me.
