  1. Hi and welcome, Yes we use the rack especially on trips. We have a bag that holds rain gear, extra drinks/snacks and sunscreen, tissues etc. Its alot easier to get to along the road or at a gas stop. You need to keep the bag weight within reason to keep stress off trunk and hinges, but I never had a problem with cracks or hinges on both 2nd gens I owned. Rack is still on my 06 and I put it on in 07. If you are going to take multi day trips riding 2 up you will need the extra space a rack gives you. If you are going to tow a trailer or use a hitch type rack you may not need a trunk rack. Guess its up to you what wins out...form or function. Craig
  2. Congrats Chuck, enjoy all your spare time??? Hey you can start planning another getogether at Canaan Valley Resort, that area was perfect for lodging/riding:thumbsup: Craig
  3. One of the largest employers in our area, I ride by that plant a couple dozen times a year. Great local employer! Craig

  6. With me it depends on which bike I am riding, on the trike I just take it easy and cruise rite along looking at all the sites and enjoying the day and the ride. If we are heading to a destination or event I usually cruise at 5-10 over the speed limit on the highway or turnpike. When I am on the Madura... everything seems to go to my rite wrist, 1st 2nd and 3rd will get you to 100mph in a heart beat and at 65yrs old I still enjoy doing that way too often. Overall I have noticed I have slowed down quite a bit though. Craig
  7. Paypal sent for 2 Thanks, Craig
  8. We tried a few different boats, but its hard to beat a fast Sea-Doo on a glass-smooth lake... 5ft waves on the ocean can be fun too, but alot more tiring. Really easy to maintain too. Craig
  9. Guess there are 2 ways you could attack this, #1 carefully take everything apart, neatly lay out all the small parts on a white sheet of paper and carefully clean, polish and re-assemble each individual switch. Probably the rite way to fix things. Or #2 , get a small can of contact cleaner with a small straw nozzle and a white rag, spray in and around those switches as much as possible while catching any excess cleaner in the rag. THen do the same with some WD40 while working the switches back and forth. #1 will probably involve a whole afternoon and a fair amt of aggravation, #2 about 20mins? and it just mite work???? I fixed alot of stuff with WD40 and a rag:fingers-crossed-emo Craig
  10. C'mon Dan it aint that hard, just put everything back where you found it after you are done using it!! The next time you need it, it will be rite where you left it. You can send your 10bucks to my home address. Thanks, Craig:big-grin-emoticon:

  23. I have the RSV with the hannigan kit, it will shake its head at low speeds on uneven roads or if I hit a bump, but it doesnt shake all the time at low speeds. Tire pressure seems to be pretty important on trikes, and steering head bearing tightness. Contact Carbon1, Larry is his name and he is pretty sharp on trikes. Craig
  24. Hate to see you give up, one guy on here just posted about parting out a 1st gen, have you given any thought to swapping out the whole carb set. Hell as many times as you have done it already its probably only a 10 min job for you. Take a break for a week or two and then give it another shot. All the best, Craig
  25. Your freakin killing me here!!!! No really, glad you had a good time and Thanks for sharing. Craig
