Kim and I made it home safe and sound from 6 days of sunshine and blue skys in one of the most beautiful states to ever ride a motorcycle. Thanks to Chuck and his wife for hosting the rally!! The Canaan lodge was great! Really enjoyed seeing old friends, and some young friends too! It was great to put faces to names from the Florida gang, Thanks again Barry and Steve for the lite bar!! Made quite a few new friends as well. Don & Chris thanks for a great ride home on a beautiful highway. It was an awesome week of riding, sightseeing, eating and BSing. Thanks Again, Craig & Kim

Did you switch over to reserve? Its difficult to get the tank full to its capacity, some people have poked holes in filler neck to vent air from top of tank while filling. I was able to get over 200 miles a tank on my 06 but would generally look for gas around 160miles. Craig

I had Rick narrow and cut out my 87 seat. Probably got me 1.5" lower, it was definetly worth the $$$$$ I dont think you will ever get the seat ht down to 26" on a 1st gen tho. One of the reasons I bought a 2nd gen. it is possible to get one of those down to 26" pretty easy. Craig

I had exactly the same problem you are experiencing on my 06, I just went ahead and put an OEM pump back on. Easy job, figured I was good for another 10 yrs. Some guys rebuild the pumps and keep them for spares. Good luck, Craig
