  1. so I will be watching for them, as long as they do not nebulize me. Maybe they already have!
  2. Are you using a prox sensor to make sure you can't run into a hard stop or provide a Home position? I know steppers don't really need to home, but it doesn't hurt, either. You can create a couple of simple menus to read in how fast and how far you want it to move and make it play nice with your Y axis. You could have it count the Y steps and return to one end and stop when it is through. I just made a similar fixture to rotate a part inside a mini bead blast cabinet. Fun stuff!
  3. Take the lids off the side bags to get to the bolts. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  4. Or this: "Dielectric grease, or tune-up grease, is a silicone-based grease that repels moisture and protects electrical connections against corrosion. ... The grease does not conduct electricity, so it shouldn't be applied directly to the mating surfaces (pins and sockets) of an electrical connection."

  6. A couple of us are staying at the Hickory Hills Motel. Not fancy, but clean and reasonably priced.
  7. Sure hope the weather holds out enough for us to get a ride or two at Orlin's and Sharon's. It will be great to see some faces I remember and hopefully some new ones, as well. We always have a blast. I am hoping to swing by Wild Things Fur company to pick up one of their sheepskin seat covers. I was kicking myself for not getting one the last time we were there. Let me know if you want me to bring anything.
  8. If you get a new spring or a Barnett pressure plate, you could swing over to Orlin's maintenance day and get all the help you could ever want. It is on the calendar for the last weekend in June.
  9. Do NOT use dielectric grease in there! It is an insulator. Use a conductive grease made for sliding contacts.
  10. Check every single ground. Several times. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  11. A long tapered steel rod. A foot or so, maybe a handle. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  12. Unplug the fuse or otherwise disable the ignition. Less chance of the FD showing up. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks to Skydoc_17 I have the best brakes in the whole fargin' world! His de-linking kit and instructions are awesome. Out with the old. In with the new. The color match is pretty good. First ride was great. I could have been riding on Sunday, but the fronts took a little extra time to bleed. Even with a broken back, Earl delivers the goods. More good thoughts heading your way.
  14. In these trying times I guess God needed a good laugh. He will be missed, but definitely remembered.
  15. Glad you are home, Earl. Hoping your PT goes well and gets you a full recovery.
  16. Check out the Yammy SR400. It's a classic. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  17. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  18. You should head down to Orlin's maintenance day in June. Check it out on the calendar. I drive through Black River Falls on the way to Orlin's.
  19. 70 and sunny here in northern Wisconsin. Snowmobile is washed, waxed and moved to the back of the workshop. Bike is out and running like it was just parked yesterday. Pre-flight checks went well, so off we went. All smiles now!
  20. Don't forget to clean the joints after soldering. That flux residue is nasty. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  21. There are a ton of accessories for Wings. Way more than Ventures. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  22. I did prepay gratuities, but we will probably take turns tipping, anyway. It will help ensure we don't run dry. That would be more dangerous than too much with this bunch of squids.
  23. I am doing a Bahamas cruise next month on NCL. It is for a Navy reunion, and will be my first civilian cruise. They have the"drink free at sea" for this one. This could be dangerous. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  24. We were praying for it to get that warm this week. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  25. Just curious, what brand gaskets were used at the 50,000 mile service? That could make a difference. Those look scary.
