  1. I am out also. I ride a 2007 Honda Goldwing that should outlast me.
  2. Well life has gotten in the way so I will not be able to attend the rally.
  3. Any plans for a MD this year Don?
  4. I would be interested.
  5. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone.
  6. I had a body shop repair the cracks in the base of my trunk on the 99 RSV. I then cut a piece of 1/4 inch plexiglass to match the base of the trunk and mounted it to it. No problems after that.
  7. My grandmother was born in 1898 and my grandfather in 1899. Both of them lived into their 90s. Think of all the things they saw in their lifetime.
  8. In June I traded in my 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab for a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. Both have the 5.3 V8 . My 2006 had 246,000 miles when I traded it in. The lifters were beginning to clatter the last couple thousand miles. Only work done on the motor was tune ups and oil changes every 3000 miles. Still had the original water pump and hoses.
  9. Prayers for you and your family.
  10. Still riding my 07 Goldwing. Rode to Phoenix and Las Vegas this spring with the 40 to Phoenix group. Hoping to make it back to MD next year.
  11. I have been running a set of Elite 4s on my 07 Goldwing since early March. 7000 miles on them now and they still look like new. Good traction on wet or dry pavement. I rode from Ohio to Phoenix to Las Vegas and back to Ohio and didn't notice them following grooves in the pavement.
  12. If you pass through Dayton, Ohio check out the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson.
  13. While you are in the area of the Tail of The Dragon you may want to ride the Cherohala Skyway and stay at Tellico Plains. The Lodge at Tellico Plains caters to bikers withe a garage to park in and a place to wash your bike.
  14. Hope no photos from this site show up in your competitions mailbox. Good luck in the election.
  15. When I installed the repaired trunk on my 99 RSV I purchased a 1/4 inch thick piece of plexiglass large enough to cover the bottom of the trunk. This made for a nice flat surface for the trunk to set on.
  16. I was there for the Vintage Fest last year and had a great time. So many bikes, so little time.
  17. I tow my Goldwing to Florida every March using an Aluma MC10 open trailer. It is only 465 lbs. and tracks like it is on rails. No worries about rust as it is all aluminum. You can go online to look at them.
  18. Sysop, I have that exact trailer. Use it to haul my Goldwing to Florida every March. I leave my bike uncovered while hauling it.
  19. I own an 07 Goldwing. I love the power and agility of the wing. The low center of gravity makes low speed cornering much easier. I am 5' 11" with a 33 inseam and have no problems with legroom. I also have highway pegs on the engine guards for long hauls. My wing has ABS, navigation, heated seats and grips. The better half loves the comfort of the heated rear seat. As mentioned earlier, I would take it for an extended test ride to make sure you like the seating position which is different than my 99 RSV was.
