  1. Thanks for posting the video. I had seen it before, but it's good to remember the cost of our freedom. I'm a Vietnam Vet and currently work for the KY Department of Veterans Affairs and it is my honor to assist veterans on a daily basis. We are not part of the Federal VA, but work with them on running state veterans cemetaries, veterans nursing facilities, and a benefits division to help KY's veteran file for benefits claims. Thanks to the other vets on this site for their service to our country! Keech
  2. +1 on the Rotella Syn. Been using it on my 2004 RSV since the first thousand miles. Now has about 38,000. No Problems! Keech
  3. Good looking bikes. Have some complaints of wind buffeting with stock windshields. I test rode one with a tall shield and lowers and had no issues. Lots of info on these at: http://thevog.net/forums/display_forum/id_62/ Keech
  4. Best of luck to both your sons and God bless all our troops. My son got home from a 14 month tour Iraq in Dec 08 and was in Afghanistan before that. Tell them to keep their heads down. Keech
  5. On a trade a shop will offer about $10,000-10,500. About six months ago I was looking and went to four different stealers and that what they all offered on my 04 Midnight Venture with 29,000 miles. They didn't seem to care about what extras were on it. Good luck on the $11,000. In the end, after looking at what other bikes were out there, I decided to keep the Venture. I'm 6'6" and 285 lbs and it just fits me better. (and it's paid for) Keech:usa:
  6. Glad to hear you got everything fixed on your bike, Boomer. Are you going to make DC in May with CVMA? Keech
  7. My son is a 2000 grad from West Point and has served with the 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan and is now in Iraq for 15 months. He is proud of what he does and I am very proud of him. God Bless all that serve this great nation! Keech
  8. Looks like we run with some of the same folks. CVMA #202 here. Will you be at the National Meeting in June at South Dakota? I like the looks of the Venture with the trunk off, but until my co-pilot stops riding with me I need it on those rides with the CVMA. Have been to CVMA Nationals at : Eureka Springs, AR Taos, NM Lafayette, LA Bowling Green, KY and of course all the Washington DC runs for Rolling Thunder. Ride Safe! Keech
  9. just so I understand.... if I go with an Odyssey AGM battery, do I need to do this sensor modification? Keech
  10. maybe coast down hill whenever you can.... Haven't heard any of the "as seen on TV" gadgets or gimmics work reliably. Keech
  11. I also have the Venturedad hitch. Good quality and a good price.
