Cougar

Recommended Posts

Here are a couple pics of the piggy and trike.

I think we are all done now *lol* Went for

my first long ride today. and all I can say

is why did I not do this 2 years ago?

Handles like a dream.. also added my

14OZ's of RIDE-ON to each one of them new tires.

Pushes around with total ease as well. Just gatta

remember to keep it in gear when parked

I promise I will not bother you with anymore pics :whistling:

I am done with this stage now it is time to ride and move

on the the next project!:happy65:

Cougar... very nice rig you got there... I have no doubts that one day, my time will come for a trike. I've very curious tho... how do you guys with these trikes..especially the Venture ones... how do you manage to back them up? Do these kits have some kind of reverse gear or what?

The trikes do roll supprisingly easy. Because you're not also balancing them. Of course you do have to pay attention to where and how you park. Nothing really any different than 2 wheelers there. On level ground I can back mine up in the saddle, even with the Mrs. on board. There's only been a couple of times I needed help getting out of a parking spot. Anyhow one lears very quickly where or how to oark in any given situation.

Didn't know you had a matching tailer too Jeff. Cool beans. Road tripping here you go.

That is a stunningly beautiful rig. One problem is gonna be that your many fuel stops will always take too long...not because your pumping in 5.5 gallons, but because of all the onlookers and admirers that are gonna be asking questions!!

:thumbsup2:

Cougar,

Now that looks is really really nice my friend. Very nice...!!!!

I like the appearence from the back of it too.

Have a question on your trailer. What kind of LED light strip is that on the rear of the trailer and the "V" shapped turn signal LEDs.. where did you get those?

The trailer top I have is appears to be exactly identitcal to yours, and I really like the way you inserted the rear LED lights on the trailer.

Is that a standard cooler rack too, or did it come with your piggyback?

I dont have a piggyback trailer, but th etop of mine appears to be identical to yours.

You did a really nice job on that trike ......again, very nice job!!

First of all thanks folks for all the kind Comments!

SilvrT: As far as moving the trike around like carbon says it

is so extremely easy and could not believe it myself.

I can push it from the front with ease and even be on

the trike and move it forward and back-words I think

it is easier to move now then when I had only 2 wheels.

Eck.. believe it or not I got those arrows at Wally world

for about 7 bucks *lol* and I have them hooked up

for additional turn signals, the top bar is something I found

on eBay I believe. the damn Piggy lights up like an Xmas tree *lol*

It has been a fine trailer. I will be up-grading the rear tail lights

for the new ones that Tom is adding to the new kits now.

I do have a video of all the lights working here on my drawer

someplace. And the cooler rack comes with the Piggy, this piggy

is the DX or XL ? Model longer tongue ect. they only come in black.

Old Venture 8: Yep been sleeping with her in the garage

for to night snow *lol*

tx2sturgis: I have only had it out twice now and I have had over

7 people take up my time from riding :whistling:

Jeff, that is just an awesome set up you have. WOW. Not to knock any of the other guys who have triked their bikes on this site, I do like Jerry's (I think that is his name) RSTD trike - and his color match - but your's is incredible.

You might have already mentioned this somewhere, but is that a standard kit they put on the bike, or did you modify that rear end? Great job

Why thank you very much for the compliment Lone Eagle! :)

These are the kits made by Hannigan Only! One of the best

Kits out for our bike these days, You Can not install them yourself

You must go to Hannigan Or and Authorized Dealer. Mine

was done at my dealer.

I did notice yesterday like Butch says that my Speedo Matches

My Zumo 550 now in the correct speed. :D

Nice looking combo. Does Hannigan do anything with the driveline or is that all stock Venture with the exception of the differential?

Thanks Jerry! :)

Saddletramp: Yep they remove the old drive line

and add there new converted one, to match the

Hub. when the rear tire is pulled ALL of it comes

out and not used. they even kept my old drive

line to send it back for a core charge. Butch

however was able to keep his, He did have his

conversion done At Hannigans Though.

Why thank you Crash! :D.

I road it yesterday with very high winds

and it did very well in it. I went about

100 miles.. I wish the weather would get

better one day!

Jeff

Speaking of high winds I've noticed that since I've had my trike wind of any degree now seems nonexisitant. Before stong cross winds or passing semis on the highways you'd get pushed around. Now the bike seems as if it's on rails and so stable. Another plus for being on 3.
