  1. Today
  2. No not in the neighborhood, but I do have one at work, I am planning on taking my 2 year old Mini Aussie and the new Toy Aussie to work on Thursday, will see how that goes. My mini does have a red herding ball that he will chase around the yard until he just about drops.
  3. Yesterday
  4. That’s a cute pup, what I am wondering though, since he is a herding dog, if you have some Australians in the neighborhood that need to be herded?
  5. what a little cutie! any idea on a name yet???
  6. I dont have any experience with it but would be interesting to hear about yours if you get one. I have a Ignitech and have been very happy with mine. I purchased it with the group buy way back when and also have upgrade to COPs, coil on plug, on my 89 VR. Rick F.
  7. Looks good to me also. What I do is make sure I add Seafoam to the tank and then fill it up fully and then running it a bit before parking it for the winter. I dont seem to have any issue and it starts right up for me in the spring. Least with a full tank there is no room for rust to form. Rick F.
  8. We went and picked up our new 8 week old toy Australian Shepard today, she weighs all of 1.9 pounds.

  10. Good morning Venture friends. It's a nice calm 34 degrees this morning in Hopkinsville KY. I see that our friends north of Indianapolis are having some serious weather situations. I pray everyone is safe during this winter season.
  11. Good morning to all! Got called in again to work all weekend long. I was ok with it since I could not ride anyway due to weather conditions in our area. At any rate, temps has been too cold to deal with on two wheels but we just have to be patient and wait. Have a blessed day.
  12. That tank looks good to me. I'm no expert on the tanks but I think WD 40 would keep it from rusting over the winter. I'm sure you are using Seafoam or something like Chevron Techron in the gas to help keep the carbs clean when you ride. I use Gumout with Regane (PEA) in mine. It helps a bit but nothing will keep the carbs from plugging up if it sits too much it seems...
  13. Hey guys, I've been having problems with my back right carburetor's pilot jet plugging up and losing it at idle. I've noticed when I fill the tank that I have a little bit of rust build-up in the neck of the gas tank. Earlier this summer, i opened the tank where the Fuel Level Sender is bolted in and it looked pretty good. I did notice the fuel level sender had some red tinge to it, like theres just a small amount of surface rust building up somewhere. Well yesterday I pulled the fuel tank, (Its not that bad of a job. You can do it and leave all the bags on and everything wired up. I took ratchet straps and strapped it in four places to the rafters and unbolted the rear frame, sub frame, whatever you want to call it from the bike and it lifted up with enough room to get the tank out) and dumped the 3.5 gallons of fuel that I had in it into a 5 gallon bucket and took a peek inside. I think me sloshing the tank around knocked some of the rust off, as it looks pretty good in there, but you'll see by the pictures that my fuel filters are real nasty orange. The one with the red fuel line running to it has maybe 20k miles tops. What is a good strategy to get the rust out of the tank, and can I put WD-40 or an oily substance in it to sort of "fog" the tank and keep it from rusting for the rest of the winter? I plan on replacing my rear shock and spring, as 110,000 miles makes it feel like its getting pretty soft. It'll be much easier to do this time with the tank off the bike! Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!! CJ
  14. Changing the brake lines to stainless steel braided will make a huge difference.
  15. Hope everyone had a great time today and saved a few dollars this Black Friday. Just got back after being out most of the day and took the rest of the family go shopping. I looked at the forecast for next week and we are expected to get between 1 to 3 inches of snow on Tuesday. I pray that it does not materialize to much, but this tells me that it is time to prep the snow blower for the season. Our temps today is frigid. 29°F and it feels like 17°F. Have a relaxing night and Good night!
  16. Was out for 4hr ride on Mon to pick up a bundle of tobacco sticks to use for making picture frames for my wife and friends diamond paintings! wasn't bad when I left but got quite chilly by time I got home. Today it is snowing again!
  17. Happy Thanksgiving to all! Thanksgiving lunch is over. Thanksgiving Dinner is just around the corner and more football to watch. God Bless.
  18. Thanks for your good responses it answers my question, especially that it is not just me seeing this.
  19. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone on this fine day.
  20. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone
  21. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Try to take a minute and think about what we have to be thankful for. Regardless of what side of the political spectrum we're on, we're truly blessed to live in the US. I'm grateful for my health, my family and friends as well as my Venturerider friends and this site. Thanks, Don.
  22. Happy Thanksgiving to all also! have a great day n remmeber to eat to much!
  23. Family. Food. Football. Hope you have a good one.

  25. Convert to 4-piston calipers and matching master cylinder from a Roadstar XV1700. Better bite and better modulation.
  26. It's the way the RSVs are made. The front brake takes too much pressure and the rear brake takes too little. It's easy to lock up the rear brake and skid in a panic stop. I think the sintered metallic pads will grip the best but they also wear the rotors the most.
  27. I have never liked the front brakes on my 2001 as they don’t grab as hard as i think they should or want and I have to squeeze hard to get them to really grab. A friend of mine says that may be cause the material the rotors are made of prevent rusting but also make them slippery. He thought there might be pads that do a better job of grabbing. Questions: 1. Do other riders notice this? 2. Are there better pads out there and if so where can I get them? Thanks
  28. Nice work. Just in time for Thanksgiving!
  29. Our kitchen is decidedly lacking in counter space. The spot next to the range where we keep the recycle/garbage bin is about the only area it is feasible to add any horizontal surface at all. I'd been thinking about building this for a while, but just got to it yesterday. Some wood filler on the nail holes, milk paint, and Renaissance Wax are all that's needed to finish. That'll will probably be more work than building the stupid thing!
