I used AI to generate this image. The message is something I posted in 2024 after a friend called. He lost his son to suicide because of PTSD. Please feel free to take, share and use it however you like. I believe it's an important message to get across. I've seen several posts this year from friends and family that have lost people they love to this unseen ghost.

I remember when I bought my TriGlide and rode it home it had gotten dusty dark and started a light rain before I got home I could not find the right switch for anything. The next day I went out and just sit on that bike and look at the location of the different switches. That may have played into the reason I went and got my RSV back. But both of those bikes are gone now.
-
Dog gone it, I hope you and your small dog are okay and we get to see ya in Asheville
-
We have rain this weekend and maybe all of next week here in the Bluegrass State.
-
Asheville is only about 80 miles from me. If I can make it work out, I'll ride up for at least a day visit. I've had some rotator cuff surgeries on both shoulders. Thought I was doing well until 2 weeks ago when I dislocated my left shoulder saving my small dog from the neighbor's pitbull's jaws. My dog survived with some punctures and muscle damage. My shoulder MRI is this Wednesday, May 27th. Hopefully, I won't have any residual damage.

I have no need for lit up switches on my RSV MM or my VR. But last year, a 78 year old friend gifted me his '02 Goldwing. At least for my needs, it could really use some (at least dim) switch illumination. I think Honda added illumination from 2004 or newer.

I was just wondering, as it does say it's usable in aluminum and cast iron! I have been using Honda antifreeze the last few times with no problems then I saw the Prestone fluid while grocery shopping in Walmart. I know about what shouldn't e in it, like silica and additives!
-
I made mine I reserved site B9 at KOA west on Wiggins Road.

N3FOL started following Antifreeze use
-
FWIW, I've used Prestone coolant on my RSV and had done it twice already. So far so good.
-
I haven't made any reservations yet because I don't know where I'm staying at yet.
-
Silicates not good for bikes. I don't remember what the specs are, but there is some antifreeze out there for cars that is usable. You have to read ingredients and become initial friendly.
-
That is true, car anti-freeze has silicates in it that can wreck the seals in the bike's systems, use an anti-freeze that is designed for bikes.

-
i have always heard you should NOT put the same antifreeze you put in your car in your bike.

When the only bike I had was my Kawasaki, my wife complained about the uncomfortable little seat so I looked at some baggers. A coworker had a 2004 Kawasaki Voyager for sale for $4,000 and I test rode it but it seemed to be too top heavy for me. I then went to the Honda Dealer in Miami and test rode a 2006 Honda Goldwing. It was even gold colored. The wing has a much lower center of gravity. I wanted the wing but it only had about 6k miles on it and this was 2010 and the price was $16,995. I just couldn't justify spending that much on a bike. I then bought a 2004 Kawasaki Concours with about 21k miles on it for $3,000. It was a nice bike but the most top heavy bike I've ever ridden. It has a 7.5 gallon tank on top and less rake which made it even more tricky at slow speed. The Concours forum even has a section for discussing how many times you dropped it! I sold it after a couple of years.

Hey Steve, everyone, I had a wing with csc sidecar. The bike was very nice, lots of power, but like you I could never get comfortable with it, always felt cramped. Bought a RSV/Hannigan Trike with independent suspension, but sold it, then bought a 2019 Harley Triglide. Been happy with it but sure miss my Yamaha RSV, Later-

Good morning to all. We are getting rain in our area and I hope to see some clearing by the end of the weekend. Enjoy your day and also have a safe Memorial Day weekend. Ride safe.

I finally got the '06 out of the garage, changed the oil, and went for a ride. A little late this spring but she's running fine and the ride into work this morning was fantastic. Now to schedule her annual bath.
-
Since my stroke last year I've given serious thought to a trike. My wife is also pushing for that (she knows I don't want to give up riding. In mid February the Firm I worked for closed its doors and I've been out of work. So now I have minimal insurance and not riding out of extra precaution. I may need to sell the 2018 by the end of the year to pay bills. When I get a job I'll be looking hard at a trike.
