Hi We are Newbie's to your site and just joined. Know that is will be helpful to us as we have not been riding for nearly 20+ years, and lots has changed since being 20Something riding a street bike. Looking for a little advise. Just bought an 05 RSV at the beginning of June and loving the evening rides with my wife. We are looking to equip our Bell Shorty helmet with headset to use the Comm system on the bike. Any recommendations for us? Is there any Bluetooth wireless that could be used on Shorty helmets? my radio on 05 venture dont have sound i could see the cassett playing radio changes stations , cb channels do scroll but no sound before dying it would work randomly .i checked the speekers wires do not have any voltage. i would like some advise. Thanks

I need some advise. I have researched the entire site and cannot locate anyone that has or had the same problem I am trying to assist a friend with. My bud own a great looking 83 Venture that all of sudden went dead and I mean dead electrically. He thought he had a dead battery but when I checked it out, the battery was fine but discovered the main 40 amp fuse had blown. Wired in an aftermarket 40 amp inline fuse but as soon as the fuse is snapped it, it blows. What on earth could be wrong. Thought maybe it was the problem was a shorted starter so disconnected the starter and as soon as another fuse in installed it blows again. All the accessories are now disconnected and still the fuse blows. What would be the most common problem to look at in this situation. I am not the electrically inclined but have basic knowledge of electrical systems. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Back to the hot garage but will look later for any advise from the members.

Hi Guys... I'm thinking that it might be time to consider another scooter and would really appreciate input from everyone here... About 3 and a half years ago, I made the decision to buy my 04 RSV midnight Venture after asking advise from/and participating in this very forum... I was a converted wing man... After about 2 years of glory, I was forced to sell my Venture and go scooterless... I'll never be a kid again and knew when I sold it that it would be my last large bike... It was getting real difficult to handle the weight with 2 up at stop signs in West Virginia, where the roads suck and half the time the berm was eroded away... My dilemma is this; I want another scooter but am not sure if a 750 Shadow, or 650 VStar will be enough bike for two in WV...(our combined weight would be 300#) I sat on a 2004 VStar 650 today and it felt so darned secure and light that I realized that I may still be able to get back on the road by fall if I can find something a bit smaller and less expensive... What I'm asking is for advise, especially you old farts, and tips, any input of any type that you can think of, I'd appreciate... I'll be 69 next month and need to be back on the road before I'm 70.... HELLLLLPPPP!!! Thanks gang... Tom

I guess it is official, my children are right, I should not be allowed near electronics. I have a just purchased a 05 RSV and have read the owners manuel (on Yamaha Motors site) and I can not get set my favorites on the radio. Can anyone give me any advise? Thank s

I just ordered my Piggy Backer Trailer, I read all the coments on it before ordering and feel I made a good choice for the money. It has the 8in wheels rather the 12in, but I do not see this as a problem. Any comments or any thing I need to watch out for, please advise..

Is there a better place to purchase brake pads from other then the stealer?? and what about what kind?? any better then others? Do these ever need the rotors turned?? my bike has 10k on it and am starting to hear the brakes a bit, thought I would change them before the riding really kicks off.. Thanks for any help and advise, also, should I change the fluid out also and what do I put in it.... that answer is probably in the M.O.M. but thats to easy and I trust ya`ll`s input more then what is in the book... Need advise on aftermarket seat for my RSTD

I'm finally in a position to buy an aftermarket seat. I hear great things about the Mustang's. And I've heard good & bad about the Ultimates. And I've heard more bad than good about Corbin's. I've only sat on the Mustang once and it was on a Valkyrie. I really wasn't sure what to think. I'm 6'4 and weigh about 300 pounds if that helps anyone help me make a decision. I also have to consider my wife's comfort if anyone has advise on that. Thanks, Scotty -
I have called about 6 places that have the Hopnel Tuxedo Trunk Bib advertised on their web site to see if they had them in stock or if they could call their supplier and see if they could still get them. Negative I'm sorry to say. So if anyone finds an avenue for them please advise others here. I'm still looking and if I run across a source I will let you all know. Good hunting!

I have a 05 RSTD and I purchased a Venture trunk off an 05 Venture. Is it possible, or has anyone mounted one to their RSTD? I'd appreciate any tips, advise, and just general help. Thanks

My windshield is getting pretty hard to see through. I'd rather not replace it right now but I have to do something. Is there some way I can buff it out and make it clear again? Need some advise on what to use and how to apply it. Thanks all.
