folks, don reminded me that brad may have these available. i remember now cuz i think lonna emailed me last year about having some. so before i go any farther i am checking with don, and brad. don't want to step on anyones toes. if they give the okay, i will get a design together, and post it before i have any made, so you can see what it looks like. bill

is anyone interested in a venturerider.org windshield decal. if so log in here. i will have some made up and just charge postage and cost to have them made. if there is enough interest i will work a design out and post it for your approval and then take orders. the more i get the cheaper they are. bill

i would go with the 1300 tourer. if you shop aroung you can get one for under $10,000. try ebay. i really like mine and have done a 550 mile day on it with oem seat no problem. only complaint i have, is primary gear noise. but it's not like the dreaded chirp. you get so much more bike for the money then the 950. handling is almost sport bike like. hard to keep from draging the boards. it loves the curves. i just put avon venoms on mine and it added even more to the handling. bill

linda and i went to hannibal today, about 250 miles round trip. she went to the indian store. a cheap trip turned into an expensive one. glad jane was'nt with her i would be in the poor house. lindas got this turqouis hang up, and i just can't say no. anyway the weather was great and i am rode out for the weekend. can't remember if i put the kickstand down on the wing or not. i just don't have the energy to go out in the garage and look. who cares. bill

hey la., i just made reservations for a room saturday night. not sure if it has two beds or not. if it has two beds your welcome to the other bed. i sure ain't going to sleep with you in the same bed. randy said they had 16 rooms left so we should be able to get a room with two beds. we will work out something we will both have a roof over our head. i would'nt let one of my best buddies stay out in the rain. bill

was down at st.louis bread co. for my morning coffee, and had the wing parked where it was facing me. on my windshield i have a large venturerider.org logo that i had made. the more i looked at it the more i thought. why do i have that on a goldwing. the reason is that i am proud to be a venturerider. last weekend at my st. charles meet i had a group of the finest people anyone would want to know. i have met so many great people from the usa and canada, can't leave out squeeze, and annie, from germany and australia even though i never met them. i just wish i had the time and energy to make all the meets. this site is so full of great folks, and i have aquired so many friends, that i show that logo on my windshield with great pride. i take this site very serious cuz it is my family. just want to thank you all for being there and putting up with this old wing riding fart. if you don't like me thats to bad. your stuck with me. snarly bill

kept looking for the top hat, you must have left right after i got there. no donut but i helped a nice lady replenish the coffee. them coffee pots are heavy when they are full. lol.

sounds like you found a low mileage keeper. going from a first gen to a wing, you will feel at home from the git go. as joe said i would think twice about the heel toe shifter. it is thought to ge hard on the shift forks cuz they aren't designed to take the extreme heel pressure. good luck with the new ride. we need pic's. bill

Dropped my Helmet, need reccomendations on replacement

if i bought a new helmet every time i dropped mine, i would have several hundred of them. i bought a new hjc last year and when i got home with it the bottom of the box opened up and it bounced all over the garage floor. wore it today and it still works fine. go figure. -
now come on, yammer is'nt a real popular name. punch in dan you will get better results.

as far as i know me, my cousin ,and his son are the only predocks left in the world. all my predock relatives have died. i have three sisters and my cousin has one sister but since they are married they are no longer predocks. may be a world record.

just got back from litchfield. never saw so many bikes. must have been over a thousand. unbelivable crowd. star motorcycles was there with all thier demo bikes, including 2 v-maxes. thought about riding one, but they had a waiting list. the ride up and back was lousy. 30 mph cross winds all the way. think i will skip this one next year. always windy,and last year it was raining along with it. not my favorite ride. great turn out and they know how to do it right.
