  1. happy new year and Christmas. Hope ya get what ya want. House full of family
  2. Rod are all the bike's rear wiring a bird nest? I cut about 12 inches of excess wire out should of taken more. Also untangled wires and used factory trailer color code. What a mess.
  3. If you stick a thread of wire in vent hole. Some times it breaks the air loc. But don't move lever when doing so. Worked a few times for me ya get about 2 to 3 air bubbles then you can bleed the normal way. Its kind of like when you forget to prime a new master.
  4. twas 4 day till Christmas and the bikes were settled in for the winter. But what was
  5. LOL. My pappy fell in a hole because the house was moved. Had to ride on the running board to get home. The house had been moved already.
  6. well I remembered the wiring stored location. Are the factory wire ends bullet style? Ended up replacing the wire to trailer from behind plate. Got my hand stuck up in the fender. Thought I would have to call fire dept. Ended up pulling sideways on fender and getting hand out. Just a little pain. Had a few thoughts of embarrassment lol. I'm not going to do that again uncle Jed.
  7. Well I put the recall tail lights on finely. Only took me a year and a half. Now who hid there trailer plug on bike. I think it was Mike. Lets see some plug set-ups. The trailer is all led. The only thing that's led on bike is brake strobe. Things are going to be a little tight the next two years. All health care is robbing me now. You all know.....
  8. thanks ya beat me to it.
  9. Well wb when I was first starting on this site. You helped me fix my exhaust. I will always remember that as bike was getting expensive trying to bring back. thank you more time. That would of been some where in that time frame.
  10. Well I received a recall on the tires. Bought it three to four years ago. I guess the tires don't meet dot spec. Prone to blow outs. Don't know if it is tire and wheel or what. They say to take wheel off trailer and exchange tire. Will check it out tomorrow. There only about two blocks from here. Hope it is just exchange. The list is good sized on the recall.
  11. ok santa. my wish is you would pick up after your reindeer. Getting tired of stepping in it then getting thrown in the air from the magic. Also could use a bigger shop to do nothing in with heat by the way.
  12. well took it out again. blue the cobs out of it. only went 28 miles but enjoyed every second of it. went to the station put 10.00 in the tank. cant believe 10.00 when I bought my mustang it cost 10.00 to fill it. any way put it back in its spot for the winter.
  13. well been a while since I been out. Tires were down to 20psi. I inflated all three bikes tires back up. Then took the gen2 for a very nice ride. My steel wool blew out of the mufflers so its loud again. Was a very enjoyable afternoon. Might be the last long ride of the end of year. Still have to top off the tank for winter. Can you believe no salt on roads yet. Wow my penman ship is missing big time. Guess shouldn't have slept through school sorry for the fragmented conversation........
  14. Well I never replied till now. Did ya miss me. Ya I know like a tooth ache LOL. Have great holidays this winter. Looking forward to seeing every one next year. I think I have run out of excuses to stay home finely. GOD bless every one that wants it.
  15. I think I made them mad. lol
  16. correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't j+p quit carrying metric bike parts a few years ago.
  17. cant you uninstall update. sounds like it messed up installing
  18. Jeff you may want to open the gear box and put different lube in it. There known to destroy themselves. They get metal in the lube then grinds itself to death. Lost the jet one to that. Mine would not stay adjusted anymore. The blade quality I was buying was cheep which didn't help. It also got knocked over quite a bit. Casting never broke from abuse though.
  19. jeff I just gave away saw just like that but was green. Would cut straight for 4 cuts then would make more grinding work to do. Also used a jet just like it it was just as irrating to use. Unckle had a power hack that i used to build gocarts with. Never had to squaire up cuts. Was slow as all get out though. So getting more than one bang out of building this. Always had to make design before building anything. Good memorys
  20. Well I'm attempting to build a power hack saw. The motor speed is 1725 the drive pulley is 1.5" that would be 2587.5--. Then the driven pulley is 11" the end rpm would be 235.22. So I will have to add a jack shaft I"ll go with 1.5 pulley x 352.84-- will go with 11 inch driven pulley = 32.07---- rpm. This is where I get messed up the rotating assy is 3.5 long at shaft hooked to a 8" arm to blade. The blade is 14" long how many strokes will the blade make per min. Not sure how to figure strokes of blade. Any one like brain buster?? if I use same equations I come up with 14. Any math wizards. Looking to get 80 strokes a min or less. HELP........
  21. ive bought a few idioms from the claw. I think there is a metal shield missing on that pipe. I have removed it with out to much trouble. just remember how you turned it to remove. only go back in one way and bolt up.
  22. not to laugh but it brought up a memory. pops was standing on top of a step ladder painting. there was a bang the ladder blew into pieces he came straight down. when he landed the paint all went back into bucket just like cartoons even his eyes were huge. puc that looks a lot safer my peak is only 13 feet. ya got a bigen there..... be safe my friends
  23. Well I found the dampening is the easiest way. Turn it like your loosening a bolt do it in half turns. If you do have to mess with the spring and I dough it will need anything. There is a set screw holding it from turning. I turned both of mine before I put it on as I'm heavy. But got the most bang for the buck turning dampening screw. good luck I really like mine.
  24. this sounds great. hope it works out to save some cash for someone. was wondering how it was going.
