It seems like everyone changes there bike. Is there anyone that leaves it factory. Saves their money for trips instead. I cant really say anything as bought mine modified. Plus put on diamond cuts. The rest was repair items. I don't want to change anything just ride and maintain what I have. Need to change wind screen, but can still see most everything.

First thing welcome aboard. Puc uses a syringe out of farm store to back flush carb bowls. I tried it and it helped. If it was me would want to hear it run. The plug caps probably need cleaned before it will start. I haven't worked on a rstd though. That way you will know if computer is working on all cylinders. I'm more of a heavy equipment mec. There are quite a few on here that can get you through the rough areas. Good wrenching and again welcome. Don't forget before and after pics.

your adjusting the high idle first I take it. then low. if the coil is getting weak makes them hard to start.

ok I started to put the first gen back together. @cowpuc When you had problems with tank vent could you blow any air through restrictor. I can blow through mine but you cant feel air just hear some. Was surprised to see dust sitting on top of it. Did the plugged one make bike so it wouldn't rev? Or not run at all. I was surprised that the battery charger is working. Battery been dead for two years. I found a wire shield melted no wire in it and could not find a bad wire or new one. Was by the headlamp adjuster.

well I bought tci off ebay for 25. The fenders can be bought. The seat for a good used one about 125. I've put two back together so far. You will have to pull carbs and clean its been sitting they don't like that. The only thing that could get pricy is if all the relays are gone under seat. The only thing I learned the hard way was cleaning out fuel tank. used house hold cleaner and put a bunch of nuts in tank. Shook the poo out of tank for about a hour had help. Went to dump out, rust came out but those nuts were stubborn there is a lip on opening had to use a magnet took quite a while... grumble grumble.
