  1. NealKetnerMotors.com has a Triumph Rocket 3 in his inventory at less than 10k if anyone is interested. I've bought several bikes from him and never been disappointed. Just traded an 08 Porsche Boxster Limited edition on a nice 13 Harley Road king CVO which I also had received a few thousand extra on the deal. Just can't get away from two wheels yet not even in my seventy's.
  2. There they go again Yamaha trying too copy Harley if it ain't the air cooled V twin engine it's the revolutionary electronics. I thought China was the world Copy Cats.
  3. I'm glad someone around here still remembers or is in enough years to know Jack Benny.
  4. It doesn't get better past seventy; if you look very long for that pencil you've forgot what you needed for.
  5. Well in my opinion it was a sinceless War fought in the descise of fighting Communism when it was legal to be a Communist here in the USA. Why did we have to go half around the World to fight Communism when we had a Communist country 90 miles off the shore of Florida? The only answer I can think of fighting in Cuba wouldn't have lasted long enough to boost our economy and was too close for comfort for elected politicians. I don't regret serving. What I regret is 50,000 plus didn't make it back alive.
  6. It's kinda amusing to me to see all these flag waving people come out now for freedom when in the 60's those same people were looking for draft deferments bone spurs and such or racing to Canada to keep from going to Vietnam.
  7. Harley Street Glide - $15,800. Harley has flooded the market with these bikes.
  8. I guess after a, Hard Days Ride some apple moonshine aged a day in that box would taste and relax one for a nights sleep. So maybe that box does appeal to me after all.
  9. I like the way you relocated the touring box for a backrest but the Bootlegger plywood box needs to go. That's just my opinion or butt hole everyone got one .
  10. I to live in NC also have a CCW permit don't usually carrry unless I visit Charlotte ( Gang Land South ). Then I pack a 9 on me and one in the car door pocket chambered and ready. I'm about 25 miles North of Charlotte as close as I care to be.
  11. Cabin fever can really get intense this time of year!!!!!!:
  12. Best of luck on your quest and pace yourself from start till finish.
  13. A lot times thinking prevents going off half-cocked. Pretty iffy situation you got there with that Tera cotta pipe to deal with.
  14. Now that your in those "Golden Years ", they refer too.... Ask yourself this question. Is it really worth rolling the dice too save $2500? Digging is tough on the ticker.
  15. Before you pull the plugs on the right side try running it again then immediately pull the right plugs. Check if they are dry or wet with fuel. If wet not a carburetor problem dry firing. I'm North of Charlotte at Lake Norman.
  16. I'm not sorry I missed the first Woodstock and probably will miss this one also. If I remember correctly the Vietnam War had me previously committed.
  17. Blue Book of Gun Values great publication of guns every collector needs one.
  18. The first month after I retired I worked harder than ever to catch up on everything..... Then I realized heck I have the rest of my life too get caught up. Now that I'm passed the rookie stage of being retired there is just, " Living the Dream Left".
  19. Before you do a lot of disassembly check your condensate line and your pvc exhaust pipe for obstructions. Have had similar problem in the past with a different brand unit.
  20. Merry Christmas to you and your family and a Happy New Year ahead just around the next turn.
  21. Consider yourself lucky for the second time. Myself I wouldn't go for three.
  22. I'm throughly convinced the whine on these clutch baskets come from the final machining process during manufacturing of the basket. Stress is machined into the basket much like a tuning fork which in turn needs to be stress relieved. My 06 Venture had the whine--- Often thought about bead blasting the clutch basket to stress relieve it. I traded it but not because of clutch basket whine.
  23. Got to ask have you experienced a hydrolic start with the engine? This occurs when the fuel pitcock is left in the on position and gas fills a cylinder--engine turns over bends a connecting rod ruins your week.
  24. Vedio, didn't come thru on this end but thanks anyway.
