  1. Absolutely yes, chrome is my favorite color as the song goes and it don't show dirt as fast as black. Chrome ages with a lot more grace than black. Very nice looking bike there.
  2. Now Marcarl, You know your in for a "White Knuckle Ride!!!!!!
  3. Don't care for the boxer engine. Like the styling of the bike but it's just like the three GoldWings I've had those cylinder jugs just keep getting in the way of my feet. Even with floor boards installed they fold up in the twisties and pinch my feet.
  4. Praying for a fast recovery Don. Wife has had pneumonia twice l've had it once it takes several weeks to get back to 100%. Get caught up on your reading and rest you have an excuse now.
  5. Just about all the guys around here have a Pout House or a Man Cave half full of Ammo from the last election. Obama sold more guns than any President we've ever had.
  6. Yea, who needs free healthcare or free tuition if you can't buy "Toilet Paper". Also, where is all them test kits if we need to be tested for the coronavirus.
  7. Well I guess you could call me a "Draft Sergeant" I was drafted and made sergeant E-5 in 18 months. We got a Commander In Chief that I doubt would send his sons in harms way unless they were going after some cash.
  8. Our leaders or so called politicians always send our youth in to get them out of a jam or do their dirty work.
  9. The next CEO should take those Harley Ultra Classics that have been setting not sold forever at the Dealers and refurb them. Take out that Vtwin put in a Yahama 1700cc V4 water cooled engine. This is how to have a great low center of gravity good handling bike and power to spare. It could be an American Japanese Venture the best of both worlds. But what do I know just been riding for 50 years.
  10. This video just galvanizes that statement or quote, "Ride like Hell and You will soon get there". Obey the law and live another Day.
  11. I'm pleased that your taking an interest these new Triumph offerings especially the in line three engines. Also, if you like to maintain your own equipment as much as I do all components are easy to get too. Reading in a service manual it states that the cylinder sleeves are replaceable in the engine block drop in type from the top large o-ring on bottom. I'm thinking this is how they go from a 2300cc to a 2500cc engine and use the same engine block. I've always had a sweet spot in my heart for Triumphs ----had a 71 Triumph 650 Bonneville which I modified into a street flat tracker. Really would like to find her setting and bring that baby back to life again. Triumph held a lot of speed records back in the Day. In my opinion they are pretty tuff bikes and a lot of bike for the money. Haven't had this touring version Triumph long just waiting for the weather to get more agreeable so I can get out on a long trip with her.
  12. The Triumph I ride is a bagger Triumph Rocket III Tourer 2300cc or 140 cid. I just referenced the new Triumph Sport Cruiser 2500cc engine which just came out this year.
  13. To answer your question about why I chose a Triumph Sport Cruiser I didn't. I'm riding a Triumph Rocket III Touring model which is 2300cc water cooled as is the Sport Cruiser.
  14. Puc, now lets not leave out Triumphs new entry a Sport Cruiser with like 2500cc three cylinder stump pulling power engine. I enjoy my upper body work out on my Triumph Rocket III. Acceleration improves my grip even though it feels like my arms are about too pop out of their sockets. Well what can I expect at 72 1/2.
  15. A couple years ago I received a check from Publisher Clearing House for $18000.00. I immediately took it to my local Wells Fargo bank where I'd been banking for years signed and ready to cash. The drive thru window person was also excited as I was but started making calls came back with no cash. She informed me it was no good gave me a hard look when I ask for the check for a keep sake she said that's not going too happen. Well easy come easy go.
  16. No Doctor at this house but you need to see one!!!! Just remember your brain stem is just below that lump or bump on your head.
  17. I don't use the vinegar on chrome either just on steel parts that need reconditioned or repainted.
  18. Enjoyed watching makes you wonder what happened to the person that carried it. Vinegar works for me on rusty m/c parts cleans down to the bear metal overnight. Thanks again for the video.
  19. Oh, those boots are definitely not made for walking!!!!
  20. Yea, I might have to get me one of those little cap and ball pistols so I can get a whiff of that BP burning again. Want be like pulling a lanyard on an artillery piece though.
  21. The Navy didn't have exclusive use of BP we burnt our share of it in the Army Field Artillery. Our Battalion had 175mm self propelled guns with 28' tubes that fired 147 lb high explosives projectile 28 miles. For long range we loaded her up with (3) bags of BP each bag a little less than 2 foot long. When fired she would recoil about 6 foot and shake the ground.
  22. Very nice Ruger Old Army 44 you have there. Is it for sale? By the way spent some time at Fort Carson Recondo Center back in 69 really like Colorado Springs and Denver areas.
  23. In my twenties I owned a retro Navy.36 cal. BP that chained fired while standing shoulder to shoulder with my Dad. To say he was impressed and wanted to give it a try well, "He'll No" is all that heard after the smoke cleared. Reason being it chained fired from the nipple side of the cylinder. Those number 11 caps were loose or missing. After that I squeezed them before pressing them on the nipples. Eventually I sold it or traded it off. Kinda like too try another though.
  24. I do know Yamaha did a recall on their transmissions due to sudden lockup back in late 90's early 2000. They were the Silverado bikes I had one. They informed me of the recall when I took it in for an inspection. They informed a month or so after purchasing it. I let them know no your not pulling my motor trans out ... why wasn't this corrected before you sold to me I demanded another bike of equal value and got it. They agreed and I rode off with a 99 Victory a lot better bike. The culprit in the transmission was a weak circle clip that breaks and locks up the gears in the tranny.
