  1. I usually get pruned from sitting in the pool for too long..................
  2. AAA insurance on both bikes. 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit is in the low $400 range. 2007 RSV is in the mid $400 range. But then I put them in storage and drop the comprehensive and theft and I get almost #250 back from AAA. Bikes are stored in my garage and covered on my homeowners policy...also AAA.
  3. I do not consider those to be a trike. You sit in seats, side by side and use a steering wheel. Looks more like a car to me.
  4. Rickardracing. Last name plus the racing. Why the racing? My two boys and I used to competitively race remote controlled cars. Mostly outdoor parking lot asphalt track on-road in the summer and indoor ozite carpet tracks in the winter. we did this from about 1998 until 2007. Went all over Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. We became known as the rickardracing team. Bada boom.
  5. I have been asked when I was going to get a real motorcycle. I have been asked why I do not ride the shoulder in traffic jams.
  6. My scoot is all cleaned up, covered up on the battery tender and storage insurance is on. She won't be coming out until March or April. I have to adjust the lifters before it comes out too.
  7. I am in the eastern 1/3. Ann Arbor area.
  8. Mine is all coveredwith the battery tender hooked up. I won't start anything until about the end of March once it starts to warm up. Then it will be a lifter adjustment.
  9. I have done 2 of these rides. 1st one was the 1000 in 24. Second one I did with Freebird, 1500 in 36 hours. We did ALOT of riding that Saturday and Sunday. I ended up doing a total of 1745 in 35 hours 45 minutes. We had a blast.
  10. Maybe someday you all will stop drinking the kool-aide.
  11. Yes first time on a "BIG" bike. 630 miles each way. Rode on the back of my brother inlaws Midnight Venture. We made a cute couple........ Riding my scoot home, I realized I needed a back rest. That was the first mod I did. No pics, no thread/story. Actually, I was not a member of this site at the time. My bro inlaw was and that's how I found out about the bike.
  12. Wishing you well my friend. Keep us informed of whats going on. Randy
  13. In 2009 I purchased my 2007 RSV from the original owner in Maryland and road it back to Michigan. It had 9100 miles on it and I paid $11000 for it.
  14. If you read through the entire thread, all your questions will be answered.
  15. Yikes........whatch out ........the BOSS maybe watching. Besides, I could pull the trigger on a Harley. BWAAAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Actually, I am considering a new Voyager.
  16. Oh would you guys just give it up already? They are not coming out with a new bike. No intentions.
  17. No I would not. If for some reason something where to happen to my 07 I would not replace it with another new old stock or a used one. I would more than likely buy a new old stock Kawasaki Voyager. I like that bike a lot. Took one for a very long (40 mile) demo ride. Loved it. Don't get me wrong, I love my 07 RSV, but I would get something different.
  18. Jay, it's wooba gooba with the green teeth......let him in.
  19. I demo'ed the Indian at Dick Scott in Plymouth awhile ago. Very nice bike, but once I get it accessorized the way I want it, it would be over 32k. Honestly, if I buy a new bike, I am looking at ebay for new old stock. Last week there was a new 2013 Kawasaki Voyager leftover with zero miles on it for 13k. This route is a no brainer for me.
  20. Exide from the dealer. So far, so good.
  21. Sorry to hear this Don. It brings tears to my eyes thinking of the day that I will loose my Lucy.
  22. Why do you guys even bother? They are not going to come out with a new Venture.
  23. Jeff, Jeff, Jeff......you talk just like an engineer............
  24. Happy Anniversary you two!
  25. Just be glad it was still there when you went out.
