I would think yes you can. You will need to move the CB to the left saddlebag. Reroute the wiring to the saddlebag. On later Ventures, 2010 on, there is a hole on the upper inside of the bag near the front. This was used for the CD changer. Run your CB wires through there or drill a hole to run the wires. You will need an extension for the CB antenna cable and you will have to adjust the extension for SWR. I think all in all a doable project. And reversible should you ever put the trunk back on. Mike

I don't know about the law in your state but I suspect it is not illegal and probably not unsafe. It is common to run a slightly narrower tire in winter. Just make sure the load rating is suitable for your vehicle. Tire stores have become anal since the Ford / Firestone fiasco. Around here they will only put in air pressure equal to the door sticker. No matter that the vehicle came with 2 ply tires on which they mounted six ply tires. They just refuse to respect the sidewall rating. Find a mechanic and garage that are not borderline stupid. Mike
