Ahh good point flyinfool. This was part of my wondering too, is our infrastructure is pretty much set up for ICE's. and also with the new biofuels they come up with, they may be milking the ICE for as long as I'm alive yet too. I DONT LIKE CHANGE!!!

Hey guys, all winter long I've been troubled by this question. How long are they going to keep producing fuel for, and how long is the govt gonna let us keep riding our gas powered bikes. I've never been a guy to go brand new. I look at it like getting a pet, why get a new puppy, when there are plenty of dogs that are still in their youth that have been neglected and pushed away into the shack for their whole lives. Its almost inhumane to get the puppy when you could save a dogs life for much cheaper. I guess what I'm saying is, if they go to strictly hydrogen fuel cell, electric, solar powered, or whatever bikes that don't make the noises like ours do, we all know the price range is going to be around the 30k range at least for the first few years. This scares me because I don't think that, for the longevity of my life, I wont be blessed with working and riding the familiar machines we've all grown up with. I've always bought older, cheaper vehicles that I know are reliable that require a little bit of work. But if they one day decide nope, you have to get an electric bike you cant keep riding that gas guzzler anymore. What am I to do. Save up the 30k for a new electric bike. Or should I invest in a horse. Really though, how long can we keep riding our gas powered bikes?

I'd love to hear how you fixed it as well.

I'll be watching this thread as I'm curious too. I'd like to pull the tank and drop some BBs in it and try to get any rust that may be in there out

Boy, I gotta tell ya Puc. You are one heck of a guy. I bet Dan could just feel the healing accelerate while he had all the positive thoughts and prayers headed up his way. What I liked about the bondic, and I should post pics up later. Is since its a plastic, I filled a hole in my lower fairing in by chasing the bead with the light making what was essentially rebar. But you're right, you have to sand down the area that you're applying the bondic and drill several holes, even as you're applying it. I basically use it to stitch the bondic to the plastic and to itself.

Tell you what Puc. I'm totally happy with the 88 VR. What I'd like is 25K to pay off all of my college loans and then, in return I'll go to every Maintenance day, Every meet and eat, International Rally and hell I'd come and visit you at the Lakeside Manor twice, maybe three times a year! If it HAS to be a bike I'll take a Harley ultra classic with the shark face fairing, not the batwing, just don't be upset if I sell it

Why not offer them 17 for it? Keep in mind they only dezign these newer cars to last 7 years though
