  1. I always try to volunteer for the jobs I'm best at lol
  2. Thank you! I appreciate it!
  3. Hey guys, looks like you're all stuck with me for another year. Just re-upped and couldn't be happier!

    Mileage

Sounds like you've just broken her in!
  5. Glad to hear you, her and the bike are all in decent shape! Too bad that things like that have to happen. I noticed its been a bad year for accidents on this site. Ride safe everyone and I will try to do the same
  6. Hey guys, the rear brake rotor is shot on my bike and I'm having a hard time finding a new one. Where do you guys get yours?
  7. What a gorgeous bike. Those kids will be with you for every mile on that bike. You should be proud!
  8. I'd go to my local auto store and pick up a radiator pressure tester. Put some pressure in the system and go to town
  9. Pull that pilot screw out completely and run an E or B guitar string through the orifice. Got mine running on a sweet 4 cylinders that way. If that doesn't do it start by checking for vacuum leaks.
  10. Glad you got a happy one up there Puc. On my way to Colorado a few years ago I was heading west on 80 and ran across a group of 20 some weary travelers who were just walking and living life to find a place they could call their own. I sat out and talked with them for a little while and they were a really nice group. One of the gas stations at that exit wouldn't serve them saying they were bad people and bad for business. I just felt so bad for them
  11. Yeah I was thinking there may be an easier way of making them work.
  12. Congrats man! Heres to another 42 years
  13. Exactly. I'm glad flyinfool piped up because I could never explain it properly. I would definitely like my vents to work cuz it makes a heck of a difference when its hot during the day and I find myself stuck in shorts at night
  14. Yup that is exactly it. I'm trying to find a good reliable set and will pay big money
  15. I don't believe the 83s and 84s had the side panel grill like I'm talking about. Maybe I can send you my good one to see what you could do
  16. Now I have a very serious question. Can you 3d print the materials needed to make the side panel vents for the first gen ventures?
  17. Have you checked your fuel filter? If it looks good then I would try pulling your pilot jets out and feeding a G or B guitar string through the orifices. I find that the E string felt too small
  18. Awesome guys. Yeah I was going to go with automotive abs because my buddies have alot of spare bumpers laying around. But I figure just a pure black sheet of abs would be the best looking. I've been shopping around for vents that would be narrow and light enough to mount on but that is another challenge
  19. Hey guys So My right sent vent grill finally busted out so I decided I'm going to get a piece of ABS Plastic, Fill the hole in the side panel with that and then If I can, find a real small aluminum vent to mount to the ABS. I still like to use the grills for the heat direction, especially when I'm caught out in the cold or wearing shorts. So where can I get a sheet of 1/4" or 3/8" thick abs plastic? Thanks in advance guys. By the way if I make them functional and they look good I may be willing to put some together for you guys. I wont gouge prices like some of these guys on Ebay are trying too.
  20. Don't forget that the passenger backrest is adjustable '86 and on. I also know that the newer style trunk had a vanity mirror and a light
  21. I didn't realize you were feeling that rought 'Puc! I'm gonna have to come up with my friends Ben and Jerry and you just HAVE to try their icecream!
  22. Saw that after I posted. I really oughta learn to read these posts all the way through:Bunny: That's a cool idea for giving your kids or a vertically challenged passenger a ride. When I was young dad always made risers so we could ride on the back of the Goldwing legally

  24. Looks like a passenger heel guard
