  1. I've also heard that having the carbs out of sync can make the engine quite a bit noisier. Maybe something to look into?
  2. Love it! I want a full review!!!
  3. I saw this on youtube while I was stalking your videos. That looks like so much fun, Puc. Are you gonna follow your dream and stick some bags on her and take her cross country?
  4. Spoken like a true biker
  5. Now what I'm wondering Jasmie is if that plasti-fix stuff is just sort of an epoxy used to bind them together, or does it break down the plastic on the fairing and bond the 2 together. I've been using bondic as my main source of plastic repair, but really all that does it use surface area friction to hold the pieces together. I usually drill several holes along the crack and fill it them in with bondic around it, essentially stitching it together. And I think I could really get along well with one of those M61A1MECH, I tell ya what. How about you boys from the site help me go in on the investment for one of those, and after I take the proper classes to learn how to run it , I'll fab anything you guys want for just the cost of shipping Do you think you'd need ear-plugs to run that thing? It makes the weirdest noise on the video! And I think I've heard you suggest using the solvent based adhesive before. Where do you pick up stuff like that? I also like your idea of using fiberglass matting and actually making it part of the plastic, it seems that would be really useful on the fairing where the two pouches hang off of. Is the price of the solvent pretty fair?
  6. Boy look at all the bling on that! Glad to have you back on the site. Ive had the:photographing: on my rump a few times since ive been back, just give the cowpuc guy a new sticker for Tweaks And he'll be smilin from ear to ear again!
  7. Boomer, it looks like we've got a real similar new years resolution!
  8. Depends on where. If I cant make it then it IS too early for a maintenance day
  9. So I've been getting concerned with plastic welding on the old venture, because it has a many a crack in the plastic. I've been using the bondic, but I think I'd actually get a better bond with plastic welding. I've been looking up heat welding and friction welding and saw this video and thought it would've been worth a look. Its a little long winded, but its pretty cool! Check it out! http://lifehacker.com/5972326/friction-weld-plastic-with-a-rotary-tool-and-plastic-rods
  10. That's definitely a step in the right direction. There is also a guy in Norfolk that knows of a place thatll re finish them to get rid of the nicks/burrs. I'll give them a call on Monday
  11. That's a beautiful bike. Same color as my 88! I took mine to the west coast and back from Nebraska this year. You'll friggin love it!
  12. So I have a pretty pitted, gashed up and nasty inner fork tubes. I'd like to buy a new one online, but i'm not having much luck finding anything new. I guess I'm wondering if anyone has an inner fork tube for sale, or possibly even the left fork assembly that doesn't leak oil that I could just swap for the pitted, nasty one. Its for my 1988 Yamaha Venture Royale. Appreciate it in advance guys!
  13. If you decide to keep her we'll help you with the repairs the whole way!
  14. My goodness! Glad you're Ok! Kind of a tough way to find out you had a dragging brake.
  15. I had this happen this year in the hills. For me you couldn't tell that the fluid was down because it actually sucked the rubber bout into the reservoir taking up the open space. It literally looked full until I opened it
  16. Super inspiring puc!
  17. I always thought the venture could benefit from a sixth gear
  18. I've never been up there, but I'm thinking they wont have any problems funding the second one
  19. Maybe you had excessive dust in the tire packed in where you wouldn't notice and the ride on got thick soaking the dust up. Its just a guess
  20. I always try to volunteer for the jobs I'm best at lol
  21. Thank you! I appreciate it!
  22. Hey guys, looks like you're all stuck with me for another year. Just re-upped and couldn't be happier!

  24. Glad to hear you, her and the bike are all in decent shape! Too bad that things like that have to happen. I noticed its been a bad year for accidents on this site. Ride safe everyone and I will try to do the same
