  1. Hi all. Does anyone know of a shop/dealer in the Cleveland, OH area that sells and installs side cars for the RSV's? I am thinking about adding one next year. Thanks in advance...
  2. Anyone know a good site to buy a replacement brake light cover for the RSV?
  3. Yeah, seems like they know ahead of time where we're going to be!
  4. Wife and I were out last weekend going on a round trip ride of about 100 miles. We were at a red light at an intersection near our place shortly after leaving the house. The light turned green and I started out to make a left turn. I noticed a car coming from the left on the crossing street and figured it would stop. Luckily I kept my eye on the car as it went through the red light and intersection at about 40 mph (speed limit is 35). I hit the brakes; my wife who didn't see the car, slid forward and our helmets hit. We came to a stop about 20 feet from where we would have been clobbered. The driver appeared to be an old man who must have been startled when he saw me start out as he was looking up at the light as he went through to see what color it was. We did our trip, but I was much more careful at interesctions than I normally am, and I am normally pretty careful. Too bad no cops around then. Not all elderly drivers are bad drivers, but there are a lot of people on the road who shouldn't be there anymore. We were lucky that day. Be careful out there!!!
  5. Don't usually wear a collar - Nobody sees me anyway, just hear me - air traffic controller.
  6. Glad you're ok. I got rear-ended (well, bumped really) on the bike by an old man in Cleve last year. Just made me roll forward a little. When he didn't pull over I followed him and told him he hit me and just left the scene. He thought it was ok because he was on his way to do volunteer work! I scratched my head, checked the bike for damage (no damage), and rode away as I knew that conversation wasn't going anywhere.

    more on oil

I am far from being an expert on this, but I have been paying attention. From everything I have heard and read, if Bush would release some of the oil reserves, there would be an immediate drop in oil prices. He says he is holding the reserves for an emergency. With people losing their jobs, stock prices falling again, the transportation industry going down the crapper, including the trickle-down effect, workers just buying enough gas to get back and forth to their jobs - well if this isn't an emergency, I don't know what is!
  8. I would send the link to this thread to their customer service email address so they can see how many people are reading this...
  9. Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm looking forward to meeting you all in this area! Mariner Fan, I am working on Sat., but thanks for the invite. After this week I'll be off Thu & Fri's for a month or so then change again, but hope to make some of the rides with you all... Thanks again...Dave
  10. I took a job in Muncie, Indiana last month that might keep me here for a year or so. I was finally able to bring the Venture down from home in Cleveland yesterday. Great weather for the 275 mi. ride! Anyway, I'm wondering if there are other Venture riders in the Muncie area and if so, is there a group that rides together down here? I work a weird schedule and my days off change every month; I'm only off on weekends for a month at a time, but it would be nice to meet up with some folks for a ride now and then.
  11. I was checking my ad out on Windows Live Expo and saw a 2007 Venture in China for sale for $2860 plus $400 shipping. Just thought I'd pass it along. http://expo.live.com/ViewListing.aspx?lid=8191877&src=SCH&pos=6
