  1. If there is any bling you see and want don't wait to long cause some of it is getting hard to find. Keith
  2. I have those as well and love them. Only problem I had there was no way in the world I could get the left clamp tight enough so that it wouldn't slowly move forward. I tried shims of all kinds and finally drilled/tapped a put a nice chrome bolt....now that fella is not moving any where! Keith

  6. You can't go wrong with the CD led light worth every penny. Keith
  7. I went down hard a couple of years ago......down on one side then flipped to other side.....I had Larry's bar supports and have to say I think they saved me from having more damage than I did. I had to replace one bar that was bent bad on the right side......I guess the weight of the bike at 30kms did the job on that one. The left side stayed in place but I replaced it because of road rash. Keith
  8. I just mounted a switch wired to one of the remotes for my garage door opener next to the 12v plug in the fairing.....just gotta reach down and give it a push...cost $3.00 Keith
  9. Its been awhile but I would say you have to split the fairing to remove the headlight housing. Keith
  10. I happened to have a Yamaha & a NAPA filter for comparison. Length 4-1/8" Napa 3-7/8" Yamaha Dia 1-3/16" at large end NAPA 1-1/8" Yamaha the ends on the NAPA are 5/16" and the Yamaha is just a shade over 5/16" not including the bump. Keith
  11. Post a picture of the damaged wire......someone here may come up with a fix. Keith
  12. Awhile after I bought my 06 I could smell fumes....it was determined that I had a leak (on both sides) on the back of the "Y" pipe in the exhaust. They replaced them under Warranty. Keith
  13. Mine appears t be on all the time.....when I'M. not riding I keep a battery tender hooked up at all times. I have mine mounted on my rear fender near rear handgrip. easy to see Keith
  14. I unplugged my pellet stove about a month ago and still have to turn on the electric heat to take the chill out of the air. I've been out for one ride so far this year and that was a short one.....just been too cold. Guess it must be all the ice burgs floating around us cooling things down! Keith
  15. Get yourself a Battery Tender......I don't get to ride alot (once so far this year) and I keep mine hoooked up all the time while in the garage. Keith
  16. I have always found that Yamaha Canada is approx 40% higher than US pricing. Their excuse....we are a smaller market so they have to charge more? I would say that's just another example of the Cdn Yamaha pricing. Keith
  17. I agree with Playboy......I don't notice much of a power loss but do spend more time in 4th gear as well. Don't pay much attention to MPG...just fuel up a little more often. Keith
  18. I always keep a (water soaked) small towel in a zip-loc bag to remove any critters from the windshield.....then a coating of Plexus. Keith
  19. Plexus is a great product for all over polishing. I've been using it for years and it works great. Keith
  20. Can you post a picture ? Keith
  21. Have a look at these.....I have a set installed but have not had a chance to chk them out Keith http://www.diamondraccessories.com/yamaha/proddisplay.php?name=Passenger%20Highway%20Pegs
  22. Depending on what you are riding ? Might be an excuse to buy a backrest......nice handy pouch on the back of them that's removable. Keith Pic taken from Utopia site
  23. I did see a guy one time had a furry ear muff piece put over his gas cap! I should have taken a picture. Keith
  24. Yep learned from that experience....... it was just hovering there for a bit and was gone. New one has a tail attached. Keith
  25. I'm not sure what the cap is made of but I lost my leather cover on the 401 one year and had a plan that involved a magnet and it wouldn't stick. Keith
