  1. Glad you are OK but sorry about it messing up your plans. I hope they get you back on the road soon.
  2. I do have power out there. It gets a little hot this time of the year but I still find some time to sit out there. Love it in the spring and especially in the fall. I'm planning to install a ceiling fan in the Gazebo here pretty soon.
  3. If it's as nice as it looks, might be a decent deal for somebody. https://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/d/berea-great-yamaha-sport-cruiser/6918698068.html
  4. Last 4 digits of the serial number need to be after 1413.
  5. That's been my experience as well and I think the width had more to do with it than the height. My stock height is fine. I can look over it when all the way down and through it when all the way up. The extra width is what I'm waiting for.
  6. The 15w/50 doesn't show to be JASO rated either. Probably not important other than the fact that JASO is specified. I Will continue using what I've using to protect my warranty.
  7. I wish you luck but I doubt it is going to be any better. I would recommend that everybody wait just a bit. I've contacted Clearview and they are making a windshield for our bike. I don't want a shorter one, but a wider one. That seems to be what helps the most.
  8. Yea, they have come down. I got a great price even when I bought mine though. I'm not complaining. I paid less than most are asking now.
  9. Their VTwin oil is not JASO rated. That's a no no for me.
  10. OK...I'm a little confused now. Wouldn't lowering the rear increase the rake? It seems that would make it worse in that regard. Not a big deal for me, I actually RAISED the back of my Ventures before buying the '18 model.
  11. I debated which oil to use for a long time. Finally decided on Mobil 1 Racing 4T full synthetic motorcycle oil. Been using it in all my bikes since 1999 and love it. Decided to stick with it. Very pleased so far.
  12. That is correct. It is an old thread. I bought a 3rd gen in the fall last of 2018.
  13. If you like it, you did good then. The ki is a good deal if you like it lowered. I think it was Barron's who made them. The disk caliper being on the bottom is the first giveaway. Compare it to your other bike and you'll see that it's usually on top.
  14. Yes, I have some.
  15. Good looking bike. I actually like that color. I agree that it appears to have been lowered though. If you want to raise it back up, I think I have a set of stock links.
  16. I'm using my old headsets with the lower cables off may 2013 Harley Road Glide so I would say yes. I am hesitant because I probably haven't tried everything but it seems to work just fine.
  17. Saw a recipe for corn on the cob the other day that I plan to try. Peel off the husks, brush with ranch dressing, wrap with bacon, grill. Sounds interesting.
  18. That's pretty cool.
  19. Very cool. Are you riding it yet? Excitement must be killing you.
  20. Not very big but big enough for us. Some of you may have notice during maintenance day that my old one was falling in. So I took it out and put a new one in. Stil have a bit of work to do on it but it should do.
  21. I've thought about it also. Haven't pulled the trigger because I've seen mixed reviews on the Harbor Freight unit. Keep thinking I'll run across a good used one sooner or later.
  22. Just found Dave Barry's and yep, that was it. https://www.miamiherald.com/living/liv-columns-blogs/dave-barry/article1928847.html
  23. It is not as bad as it sounds. I've had two done twice so far. Next one is about 5 years. Preparation isn't great but I've gone through worse. One they put their stuff in the IV, I remember nothing until I wake up and it's all over. No pain at all. People make too big a deal of it I think. Funny story though. By the way, Dave Barry wrote a good one on the procedure. Very similar to that one and it actually may be the same one, just don't remember it all.
  24. A number of people have reported that it's air coming under the chrome strip. Take it off, put some weather stripping in there, and it's supposedly taken care of. I haven't tried it yet so can't verify.
