  1. I didn't change the sheet but did add a note regarding this issue.
  2. instruction sheet that comes with the wing light from Yamaha is incorrect. Instructions say Red from wing to Yellow on bike, Orange from wing to Blue on bike, Black to Black. Correct instructions should be Red from wing to Blue on bike, Orange from wing to Yellow on bike, Black to Black.
  3. It is certainly backwards. The resister should absolutely be in the wire going to the tail light. Brake light does not go through the resister. Swap those and you should be good to go.
  4. Well, I definitely want a wider shield because I think they make a huge difference in wind buffeting, especially for the passenger. That looks good though. You did a great job.
  5. Look back through the thread again. I just restored the pictures that were available. Some were from Photobucket and it wasn't possible to restore those.
  6. Well, I wouldn't stress over it. It's a great looking bike. I actually like the colors better than the '93.
  7. WOW...how old can you GET????? Congrats my friend. Hope you have many more great years.
  8. I think you are all making this way too hard. Just hook the trailer up, take a jumper wire, and jumper from the bike's connector to the trailers connector one at a time until you figure out what is what. Shouldn't take very long.
  9. Yea, I'm 6'3. Not sure it really matters though. I think it boils down to where you need the support. I like putting my feet out on the highway pegs and really leaning back against the backrest. It just saves my back from a lot of pain. I think it depends more on where you need the support than how tall you are. Besides, most of my height is in my legs, not the waist up.
  10. The Corbin is heated but I think it only works on their seat., I have the Utopia and love it. No way would the Yamaha one be high enough to suit me. I do have the Corbin passenger backrest and it came heated. One other note, it does fold forward to make it easier for the passenger to get on.
  11. My condolences. Prayers will continue for you and your family.
  12. @Rasa just wanted to let you know that the windshield arrived today. It is installed and ready to go. I know it's going to be too short for me but at least I have a windshield to use until mine gets back from Clearview. Thanks much my friend. For those who may have missed it. I took my windshield off and sent it to Clearview. They are going to use it as a base pattern to make a wider shield for the SVTC. RASA had a medium in the classifieds for sale. He made me a good deal on it so I bought it so that I wouldn't be without a shield while mine is gone. Can't wait to see what Clearview comes up with.
  13. Prayers for your dad and your family. May the Lord give you strangth.
  14. It was unveiled this week. Here is a story from this morning on Fox News. I think it's a fantastic looking car and is supposed to start around the same price as the old model. I've never owened a vet and just barely have had a desire to but I would love to have this one. It is certainly outside my price range though. https://www.foxnews.com/auto/2020-chevrolet-corvette-revealed-with-mid-engine-design-bargain-price
  15. LOL...I somehow responded to the wrong thread.
  16. I talked to Clearview again this week and learned that he had still not received a shield from anybody. So......I took the one off my bike and sent it to him today. He will use it for a basic pattern and make us a new shield for the SVTC. Not sure how many different heights they will offer but they typically have at least three. I know it will be wider which is what I am after. I'm anxious to see what they come up with. I guarantee that I'll get one ordered just as soon as they are available. Stock height is about perfect for me. I can see over it or through it depending on how I have it adjusted. Just need one that is wider. If it is similar to their other shields, it will probably have the lip or some type of re-curve also. I'll keep you posted.
  17. Thanks for the chart. I have copied it to the Tech Library.
  18. The two threads have been merged into one. Thanks for the suggestion.
  19. It was requested that I add a new award for members of the Christian Motorcycle Association. I was honored to do so and the award is now available for request.
  20. They probably charge a one hour minimum but it takes about 10 to 15 minutes too sync the carbs. 4 hours is crazy.
  21. I do to. Looks fantastic. Somebody did a great job on it.
  22. Sorry, that bike has been painted. Don't know how you will find the codes.
  23. I've heard other reports that are the same as yours. Don't wind them out to redline and just ride them normally and the heat is a non-issue. I don't have that many miles on mine so have been taking it easy. I've had no issues at all. I took about a 150 mile ride on Sunday morning. It wasn't very hot outside but several times I reached down to feel the heat on the left side (where I have heard the complaints) and compared it to the right side and just couldn't feel any difference at all. I think you may be right. Longhaul Paul has over 50,000 miles on his '18 now and reports the same thing. He said that he has actually ridden about 10 or 12 of these bikes and only one time, at a demo day, he felt excessive heat. He talked to the Yamaha who told him he was riding it wrong and shouldn't wind it out like he was. He tried it that way and had no heat issues. It may be a learning curve for those of us coming off the V4 which loved the higher RPMS. After owning a Harley for a couple of years, it was an easy transition for me.
