  1. Just for the fun of it, start the engine with the air boxes off, and then when it's warmed squirt some carb cleaner or WD40 or propane into the intake. If this makes a difference it is most likely fuel related.
  2. I would then first take a look at the 5 wire plug on the left side of the bike, under the side cover to make sure all connections there are good. Squeeze is probably right but that connection has been known to create other problems, so maybe just an easy look.

  12. Super glad that you're ok. Might I add another word? : When riding, there should be only one thing on your mind: Where am I going from here! That means every foot traveled could make a new immediate destination in the next short while.

  16. Move the trunk back about 2 inches and then cut a bit out of the rise in the back of the seat. Then cut about half of the rise from the back of the seat pan. To Move the trunk: Remove trunk, remove rack, get two pieces of flat bar, 2 inch by about 10" 1\8" thick. Drill holes in the flat bar to co-ordinate with the original bolt holes and have the flat bar extend back from there, catered in slightly so that you can drill 4 more holes to accommodate the mounts from the removed rack which you will bolt to the bars. You will need to make some bushings to put under the flat bars so that come up to level. I used 1\2" copper tubing. Once it's all together you can just mount the trunk back on.
  17. I think we'll need more info. Do you have a passenger on two sides?? right and left. What kind of passenger do you have that you need to have a rubber for? OK OK,, all fun aside,,, maybe you could explain what you mean by rubber.

  19. Want some help??? I got a trunk rack for you.
  20. With the diaphragm seated properly on the slide there should be no gathering of material around the outside of the slide. To work the material into proper position use a credit card or something similar. Once you have the diaphragm installed properly you can usually get them to seat well onto the carb by reaching inside the carb and holding the slide to the outside as you install the cap. I have done as you described and later found that the diaphragm had not seated as well as I thought, and so ruined the seal of the rubber in the process. Tricky business this. This thread describes what I mean. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19271
