  1. Can I guess????? All three are married,, all from the same area,,,and they are not the three musketeers,,although sometimes I wonder.

  5. Now why did you go and do that for,,,, I could have told you it would be apainful!
  6. Now who is that all bent over????
  7. Does that make it go faster??? I thought clean cylinder walls was a good thing,,,, or are you thinking about the other two walls???? Now I'm confused
  8. Oil change at 600 miles???? or was that suppose to read 6000?
  9. Now who's fault is that???????? Retired?? let's see. I get up when I wake up, bathroom, and then coffee with weather, news and VR site. Then check to see if my dearie is awake yet and get some breakie, and then I look to see what's on the menu for the day,,,, if there is nothing then I might go for a ride to find something. Lunch is between 12 and 3 with supper planned for around 6 to 7pm, but first a snooze to make sure that part still works,,, can't let it not be working, that could be detrimental to ones health. After supper I'll decide that what was not done today will now have to wait until tomorrow, and while deciding it's always good to consider the bike and or maybe even take it on a test ride just to make sure and put in some fresh gas,,,, it just don't like old gas, so that's a necessary operation, one never knows when one might need the scoot in an emergency. During all this time I wait for snow,,,, I know, your thinking SNOW? in the summer time???? yep!! got to be ready, you just never know,,, and it's only a few months away. Tractors need to be serviced, upgraded, checked out, and planning needs to be done,,,,, it's a large load for one man to carry, but somebody has to do it. Oh,,, sorry, you wanted to know what I do with my day??? I fix things, and sometimes when I fix something it even works,,, amazing!!!
  10. Yeah but Bob, Harleys do it everyday and are able to do close to 60 mph too! Ya Bob, maybe you should get one,,, it's seems to be a trend
  11. You forgot GaryN. I know he's trying to hide,, but he's there, on 2 legs!
  12. Two suspects,,, kind of hard to recognize I know,,,,, but if you do guess, then I ask, What was it that you recognized about them?
  13. Kind of know what you is going through, got my knee out of joint just in time to miss out on the IR at the Hub a few years ago, couldn't ride until late Oct or so. Relax, enjoy and pretend you're the king,,,,, maybe that will help.
  14. Good chance that the top part of the connection is not mating properly with the bottom unit. You should first try a good cleaning, then you can try to tighten up the connectors in the head, you'll need a very small screwdriver and a magnifying glass, and you can try raising the lower unit to more closely match the top unit, loosen the screws and add a nut or two to raise it.
  15. Kill switch??? rock it back and forth a couple of times to make sure.
  16. Get a buddy to come over to help, come up with a problem and you have to go somewhere right away, when you come back,,, all done, but buddy doesn't come back again.
  17. We won't miss you a bit while you're catching up,,, but hurry back or we might find a replacement, as hard as that might be.
  18. Probably the biggest PITA is the air mixture screw. It's stuck in behind a plug just under the diaphragm cover and is most likely a hard one to remove. Some say to leave them be, but I find that cleaning and setting them properly is helpful. Be careful upon removal, take your time, and you'll find a the needle, a very small o-ring and a super small washer in there along with a spring,,, so don't go loosing any, they're hard to find.
  19. Lucky you,,, you live on a gravel pit,,,, some of us civilized folks have dirt on our yard that supports growth, and wives that say,,, get out there and remove that growth,,,, ya, once a week at least,,, or you know what happens!!!!
  20. Careful, sometimes the numbers are not all there.
  21. There's a button on the left hand handle bar that squishes (mutes)the sound for you. It might have been pushed and now by accident you pushed it again.
  22. Don't know about the Royal Star, but the Ventures are 1st gen from 83 to 93 with the 83 to 85 being MrkI and the 86 to 93 being MrkII because there is a change in engine size (1200 to 1300) and the bags are different. From 99 to 13 they are all 2nd gens, all the same except for color, they even kept the cassette deck even though the kids had no idea what they were used for.
  23. We are not only pickers,,, sometimes we even dicker, and occasionally we snicker, some of us are slicker, and infrequently we have a kicker, but I have yet to notice anybody licker, and if I continue on, you'll all think I'm sicker.
  24. I could say you won't be sorry for going to a trike,,, but then it is each to his own. For us, we test rode a Spyder for a day,,, a whole day, two up, and that was a mistake. I should have got used to it first on my own and then added a passenger. Then we rode a Hannigan (B2 Dad's) to compare the difference. We found a lot of similarities, and at the time the Spyder only had 2 cylinders so had vibrations which we found to be disagreeable. This year CanAm came out with a 3 cylinder, we went to try it and I was sold,,, except for the price,,, ooooooo that was a hard pill. We now have 3000 miles (5000km) on it and don't want to go back to the Venture. This thing is stable, fun, smooth, (not quite as smooth as the Venture but quite acceptable) and has reverse... a real reverse,,, got to be careful. It tracks real well, (a feller needs to do an alignment on the front for this to happen), mileage is 36 American, 43 Canadian. It now comes with a 1330, 3cyl that pumps out a fine 115hp. Lots of get up and gone. Crank this baby out and you'll be glad you have something to hang on to. Lots of good features on the Spyder, but price is not one of them. For us it was, that slowly on, things were getting harder to do, mostly Marca's knee at this point, and if I watch my friends they seemed to be having this thing about getting old, so I figured I was going to hit the same patch in life someday. As was told to me, you are better to make a change when you are able, rather than after you have to, so the switch was made,,,,, made a lot of sense, and,,,,, worked.
  25. That was super,,, thanks Puc, Tippy and Cappy,,,, that is an award that can be treasured for a long time, and goes to some very deserving people. :happy65:
