  1. What can I say. I find the only time I can find focus, peace, and complete serenity is when I am riding my bike. It makes me feel healthy, happy, and I have not a single care in the world while I am on it! The only way to get a good breath of fresh air for me is while riding! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sorry for your loss Ray. Know how you feel bro. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Good to hear your ok bro! Sorry to hear about your bike though. I have been questioning my judgement as well with regard to riding again after my little mishap. Just feels so good when I am in the saddle can't not get back out there! Hope everything works out for you regarding the bike. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Sorry bad wording on my part. The electrical cable for my clutch broke and came out on the handle bar. Haven't had a chance to get a really good look underneath yet but no puddles or fluid leaking anywhere so I assume the line is still intact. The clutch lever does not spring open or offer any resistance when I squeeze it. Kinda stuck in the middle. I am gonna crawl around it tomorrow and make a list, take some pics so everyone can see what I need and hopefully offer suggestions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Damn bro, sounds painful. Stretches like that can do some real damage. Especially when there's weight like a bike involved. Hope your ok... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks all. Will check the bike out this weekend and start the parts hunt. I normally don't ride the Gardiner because of the high "Mario Vandretti" ratio. Forgot lakeshore was closed for Indy or I woulda left the bike home! At work tonight, the price of being self employed, course my helper is off till Monday.... Off the top of my head for parts, I need a drivers side mirror, maybe third party? My clutch cable is off on both ends, shift lever, may need to replace the cage my hwy peg attaches to on the left side. Was planning on getting the plastics painted over the winter so the fairing damage the tow truck driver did when he dropped my bike in the driveway is something I can live with. Will have a closer look this weekend but I think that's it. No puddles under her when I left for work today so another positive. If anyone has what I need let me know! Thanks again....Todd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Feeling really lucky actually right now. Only two broken toes and I did manage to keep the shiny side up somehow....thank god for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hey all, Not a great day for me. Was riding home from work today on the Gardiner Expressway, it is currently under construction with reduced lanes and speed limit...for most anyway. Some dude in a minivan tried to occupy the space I was in and while trying to avoid him I sideswiped a construction speed sign. You know the ones I am talking about, big metal frame, 200 lbs. of sandbags to keep it up in the bottom. Can't believe that for one I managed to stay on two wheels. What a drag! Sitting at the hospital now with what I believe to be a broken foot. Even worse, my poor baby is now shy a mirror, clutch cable broke, shift lever bent, foot peg bent....think I'm gonna cry man. Here's the kicker! Tow truck guy managed to drop my baby in the driveway!!!! Lesson learned, stay away from construction zones....too many signs!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. That part actually works. Funny just rode to work and it didn't fade or cut out at all. When it cuts out it goes very low like it has been muted. Bumps seem to make that happen that's why I assumed a short or something . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Damn, mute button doesn't work still...radio gets loud and soft....assume the switch is busted and shorting out somehow. Gonna take it apart and see what I can do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Lol! They were all gooped up so I took a toothbrush to em yesterday. Didn't think they worked cause nothin happened when I pushed the mute button before. Duh, you can add this to the dumb arse questions section if you choose!! Thanks bro! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. K, so I put new speakers in in the old girl last week, all went well and seemed to be fine until yesterday. After I washed and scrubbed her up for the weekend I turned on the radio and it was twice as loud as it has been since I got her....?! I like it loud so, in case it goes back to its old soft spoken ways, can anyone tell me what would be the cause of this wondrous event!? BTW, paid my 12 bucks today Don! You guys here are a great bunch and well worth the small fee you ask for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hey all, This weekend is the start of Georgian Bay Bike Week at Little Lake Park in Midland, Ontario. Nice place to visit and ride around in if you are lookin for a place to ride, check it out! Hope to see some other Ventures out there! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Have to say I love the look of that bike to start....mine is similar in color. First bike I have had in many years and I have managed to scare myself on it a few times already! Very fast bike for its size and weight! Take mine out to a parking lot and practice tight turns, figure eights., etc. cause she really is heavy after a couple hours of riding! Almost dumped her a couple times cause of gravel or dirt on the road putting my foot down as well. Just be careful bro, be aware, and be safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Stepping Stone, Monkees....whiter shade of pale, procul harem, everybody must get stoned, Dylan....so many good ones from that era! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
