  1. It's a troublesome time we live in. We will keep asking for His grace for both Joe and Deb. May we all be aware of the brevity of life and good times on this earth and use that time to prepare for the future, where there will be no time.
  2. 21ST not working for me either.
  3. TUNDRA!
  4. Send the young lad a message, he is probably the best source for info.
  5. If it's not too cold, I will consider to join.
  6. We never know what tomorrow holds for us, well not even the rest of today for that matter. It's best to leave all those things in the hand of the Master, who knows all and governs all, even though at times we might not think so. I'm glad I can have a conversation with Him and I will ask for His input for Joe and Deb.
  7. I hear a lot of good for the Shinko 777.
  8. Sticking around,, can bring up some good memories, and maybe some help to others.
  9. You need a cable lube tool, and then you have to get at the back of the speedo to use it for it's purpose.
  10. I did grease that speedo, and the cable. Wonder what is causing that now. Special tool needed for the speedo.
  11. They are there because somebody put them there. At least that seems to be logical for me anyways.
  12. I will cancel for Saturday, like Don says, maybe a better day in store. The joy of riding is never ending.
  13. Not looking too good for Saturday. Cold and maybe somewhat wet. Any other day this week?
  14. Time to clean the carbs, stuck floats most likely.
  15. It's PARTY time!!!!
  16. New thread to better communicate the planned ride for Oct 07 2023. So Mr.Don, and others, fill us in. Who is planning a route or do we just go our own way. Where are we going? What's the time line? Who buys lunch? or does momma say be home by lunch?
  17. What type of ignition leads did you use? Should be the wire type, not carbon.
  18. Good news bro. We will continue to request more grace. There is lots available.
  19. Did you use the right plugs, did you check the gaps, did you check that they all fire regular like. Maybe a poor connection at the coils or plug ends. Maybe the resisters are corroded. If all that checks out it's back to the carbs.
  20. Having low compression on these bikes is not an everyday occurrence, that is to say it's rather unusual. Let us know that this is how you did it. Kind of difficult to do remote diagnosis. So, 10w40 oil, warm engine, all 4 plugs removed, throttle wide open, then install compression tester and get a reading from all 4. Then do it again but this time squirt some oil into each cylinder just before you install the tester. Make sure to write down each reading as you get it.
  21. Will add her to the concerns for The Lord of lords and King of kings.
  22. First try to refresh the fuel in your tank. Add about 1/2 tank of fuel and 1 full spray can of carb cleaner to the fuel. Not the bottle type, use the spray stuff. Let it run to get warm, shut if off for about 1 hour then repeat 3 or 4 times. Now fill the tank and take it for a ride. If fuel keeps pouring out take the handle of a screwdriver and tap the crabs to jar the floats loose. Maybe it will solve your issues.
