  1. Don't know anything about capacitors or resistors or anything like that, but enjoyed you way of putting things so that I couldn't quit reading until the last word was spelled out. Keep up the communication.
  2. Yep! I knew this time was coming. I'm more of a futurist rather than an historian, and we all get older and loose some of the things we hold dear. Loosing the leadership of this site would be a real downer for you Don, you've done a wonderful job of keeping things on track and moving. Those of us who are or have been members can be nothing but super thankful in being able to share together, guide each other, feel sorrow and happiness, develop friendships and help out with misunderstandings. Through your dedication a lot was accomplished. I, for one, would hate to see this site go down or anywhere else, but I also full well realize that all things will come to an end. Blessings my friend, as you dig through this one, it won't be an easy task. Seek much guidance from the Leader, the King of kings and Lord of lords. Romans 8:28
  3. I would just rewire the kill switch and see what happens. Could be that sometime pinched those wires, like maybe the triple tree?
  4. Maybe recheck your numbers from scratch.
  5. Best off using the slippery stuff that they get out of the ground now-a-days, just check that it's not too slippery or the clutch will have issues, maybe.
  6. You're doing great Mr Freebird!!
  7. Sad day,,, but your future is super bright!
  8. I don't have any problems with all this,,,it's simple: whatever she says means: tell me what to do and I'll get it done..... end of story.
  9. Welcome
  10. Nope, nothing is grounds for divorce. Except infidelity. It must be your fault though for some reason, she'll probably know the reason, or come up with one.😀
  11. First off, the only way to get air out of the MC is through the banjos or the caliper. The other bolts hold the MC in place. Procedure without seeing it, like right personal type thing kind of. Make sure you have fluid in the reservoir and that the hose leading to the MC isn't kinked, this would assure you have fluid available for the MC. Next loosen off one or the other banjo bolts and then pump the MC slowly. You should get fluid in one or two pumps. Don't rush this, the fill hole in the MC isn't a pipeline. Once you have fluid proceed as per previous. If you don't get fluid, remove the reservoir and MC, first to make sure fluid gets to the MC and if that be the case to rebuild the MC, or just thoroughly give it a cleaning. In doing so, if you find that there is corrosion in the MC, rebuild it or replace it. New ones are not available from Yamaha but could be elsewhere. Post back for more info,,, we don't mind one bit,,,, maybe 2 bits, but not 1 bit.
  12. Maybe a correcton?: Clean with alcohol and seal with sillycone.?
  13. Maybe time to clear the cache on your computer.
  14. Iffn there is no trailer attached it might not be Sleepy.
  15. My bad,,,, when you live in S. Ontario it's hard to remember that there are other areas. Enjoy the ride together.
  16. So explain please: We are the only members???? We are the only active ones??? Ben might not like that either.
  17. Good for you, take it easy at first just to make sure you didn't forget something.
  18. Good for you, bet that trailer won't last long.
  19. Good choice, not that's it's perfect, but better than most.
  20. We discovered that the same model is built different depending on where it is purchased. We bought ours at CTC but discovered that ordering parts or additions from Amazon weren't compatible. So caution. Good machine though, either way.
  21. When I was a youth???? I suppose that might be a possibility, but you haven't convinced me yet!
  22. Look at the switch setup from the bottom, there may be 2 screws holding things together. Watch out for little springs and things, work over a towel or such.
  23. Sounds not good to me,, could have been a bad run.
