I hate headlights that are burning those blue 6000K lamps. They flat hurt my eyes. MOF I think California has made them illegal unless they were OEM. The driver may think he's cool, but the oncoming traffic get's blinded. I'd rather see them develop an LED that has something around tunston 3400K. I'm all for the idea of LED headlights for our bikes. I just picked up 2 Sears LED 1000lum flashlights in an auction, and when I fired them up they made my 160lum tacticals looks like a match. I'm affaid to stand in front of one....

How did this thread turn into a primer on the rebuild [ad nausium] of the evil second gear issue of the '83-'85.5's???? Actually I'd like to see a registry of all years listing partial vin#'s starting with the letter/owner and state. That would give a pretty good idea of the number of V's built per year....

Generally it's the header pipes that blue out from the heat. I can't remember seeing anything that far back being effected. I think Carbon One was making a set of brackets to mount the RK's on the RSV's. Give him a shout.. If he isn't, maybe he knows which member did??....
