  1. My post is not political, but hallelujah again. MasterGuns
  2. Just hallelujah.
  3. Your tuner is defective. To solve your issue you will have to replace it.
  4. I know I am not answering your question, at least not directly, but I wouldn't trade my lst Gen (86) for any 2d Gen. I prefer the greater power, the one of a kind style even if it is kind of outdated, and the handling. Forgot to mention the OEM center stand.
  5. I think your "dropouts" are related to the ignited tci.
  6. Have you downloaded the device drivers from the Sabent website? Without these drivers your computer will connect via any com port.
  7. Do you have the stock TCI or have you installed an Ignitec unit?
  8. Yamaha is holding up production due to a shortage of cassette decks.
  9. Won't work on a trailer with a 5 ft width. I had two VRs on a 6 ft wide trailer and even then it was tight.
  10. Poltergeist event. Next it will be your bathtub.
  11. I managed to get both reflectors apart with a small blade knife and after they set in the Texas sun to get really hot. Came apart surprisingly easy when heated. Used super glue to put them back together and clear silicon sealant to keep the water out.
  12. This is what I used to convert both large reflectors to lights. No bulbs involved. I completed this mod over three years ago and both reflectors light up quite bright. I wired them to act only as brake lights but could easily convert if I wanted. OPT7 300 LED Strip 16ft 5M 3528 SMD Waterproof Flexible Bright Light 12v RED herb
  13. I put my money that it is not an issue with the o rings. Bet your issue is either with the gear indicator switch, clutch rod seal or the stator wires case grommet. When any of these leak, and since the bike is normally leaning to the left on the side stand, the oil drips off the bottom area exactly where you indicate yours is leaking from. Good luck.
  14. All I know is I just love ruining 2d gen rider's days with my stock 28 year old 1st Gen regardless of how loud they may be. Harleys are my second choice.
  15. On one of my past 1st gens that had the same trunk issue I used the plastic stuff used to hold screen in place (the stuff that goes around the edge of a window screen). Sold the a couple years later and all was still good with the trunk.
  16. Yes you are. Just purchase the semi-floating rotor and be done with it, And what if what?
  17. i'd also replace with the semi floating rotor since that is what the bike was manufactured with. that's my 2 cents.
  18. IMO, the screws you are using are too big. Try using two much smaller screws. Insert them in another location so as to get a good tight fit.
  19. Is there anyone that has a rear brake rotor and the mounting bolts that is also willing to part with the items? I've don't think one is available from Yamaha nor is there one on fleabay. If so, please PM me with your cost. Thanks
  20. I wish you lived closer; I need someone to cut my yard. Nah just kiddin Eck. You now have the reputation of being the neighborhood "Hey mister; could you fix my scooter again", and again, and again.
  21. I can't answer your first three questions, but by the entity on the travel trunk, I'd have to say the pic was taken in the Rose Garden in Washington, D.C.....and pretty recent, too.
  22. Plan 2 would be my choice.
  23. Better take that 86 so you can make it without any kind of mechanical failure.
  24. Are you nuts? You've been hanging with pygmies for way too long. Have you ever run your 2d gen against a 1st anyway. Semper Fi MasterGuns
