  1. HHHMMMMM I have daughters, maybe I need these for date nights. 😁😁😁
  2. Carb cleaner and silicone will be your friend around the wires.
  3. I’ve not used the swivel tie downs but have pulled thousands of miles using the square ones lower in your pic, What I was hauling was much heavier than my bike with no problems at all.
  4. Through side stand switch I get, that’s how I usually kill mine. Stop, stand down, then key. I understand the starter circuit thru the clutch but don’t know why the ignition would be there.
  5. Boy this hurts my feelings reading about trailering Ventures😩😩😩, these conversations are usually over on that other bike forum. That being said I’m either gonna have to trailer mine or cage it to Vogel if I get to go, gotta haul my daughter’s stuff to Bama that weekend for school. At least we won’t have to worry about slipping in the oil on the trailer floor like those others 🤣
  6. Just get a quality built trailer. Aluminum doesn’t act anything like steel after being welded, it usually fails with a crack or breakage instead of bending.
  7. In a moment of weakness 27 years ago today I exchanged rings and ate a cake so I got the bike out and we got in around 100 miles to celebrate today.
  8. Was that 26 cold with weight on the seat? As you compress the shock it seems to me pressures have to increase.
  9. Glad to hear you’re on the mend.
  10. In KY our road signs say “keep right except to pass” and we mean it. Drive in the left lane here and your rear view mirror will be full of a redneck running up your tailpipe.
  11. Does it feel like the clutch isn’t releasing enough to shift or more of a mechanical issue? You can bleed the clutch master cylinder at the banjo bolt on the cylinder, air can get stuck there and not bleed out the slave bleeder. Second, look in the bottom of the reservoir and find the tiny hole in it and make sure it’s not clogged.
  12. Welcome to the group. You will get more feedback if you post this over in the watering hole. You won’t find a more helpful or welcoming group than this one. As far as the running of the V4 keep the carbs clean and good plugs in it along with normal maintenance and it will fire right up and go forever.
  13. I use my heel.
  14. Is it stiff to move? Lube it
  15. Let me guess, all those little dots on that route are ice cream stands.
  16. You just have to lean into your U-turns to keep em up.
  17. Mike Eykamp offers a swap or will rebuild yours if you don’t want to dive off in it.
  18. The electronic side of this is my weakest part. In my head (scary place to be) the switch controls power to the coils and the TCI controls the ground. If that’s correct and you have power to the coils it would point to the TCI and/or the connectors to it. Hopefully somebody with more knowledge will step in here.
  19. The proper pronunciation down here is “all y’all”.
  20. We’re gonna need some of y’all from the Eh team. Who else can we make fun of?
  21. Look in the read only tech section at the ignition bypass, that should give enough info to be able to check it without drilling it out. I installed the bypass relay and keep parts in my kit to totally bypass it if it dies on the road.
  22. Just ride it faster than that. 😁
  23. It’s only 8 hours @ 200 MPH. 😬😬😬
  24. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/topic/742-removing-the-carbs-from-the-rsv/?tab=comments#comment-6286 Here’s a link to pull the carbs. Are the cracks all the way through or just near the surface?
