    Seafoam

I used Sea Foam in the crank case of a jeep I had years ago.. It had been parked and stored for several years and the oil in it was sludge.. It acted like a tune up in a bottle over the next 50 miles of driving it.. Sea Foam is one of those things in a can that works way better then it should.. I've never used it in the crank case of a bike (not sure what it would do to a wet clutch transmission) but I usually use one can a year in the spring, half a can a fill up to clean out any possible varnish that might have built up over the winter months of storage..
  3. I'm there right now.. The snow is finely starting to melt.. Got a new battery for the bike took it out for a short ride (wanted to go farther but need to get tabs to be legal). But now that I got the bike started I have it a part tracking down electrical problems I had since I bought it last year. When I get that taken care of then I get to pull the motor and fix the 2nd gear.. Yes I understand the change in mood compleatly...
  4. Now that looks like a lot of fun!
  5. I'm in need of an electrical diagram for my bike.. I have the shop manual with the individual diagrams but I was hoping to find one that I could follow a circuit the entire length of the bike. Anyone have one or knows where I can get one myself? I have an 84 Venture 1200. I’ve had electrical problems with is since I bought it last year and now that I have it apart I’m finding out why.. Someone has done a mess of a lot of jerry rigging and to this point I haven’t been able to make any since out of what they have done or why.. The best I can tell is that they had installed things on the bike that are no longer there and they didn’t seem to care about it when they removed the items they had on it.. Some of the things they have done just seem so idiotic.. It’s really hard to believe some people can be so dim…. Anyways any help anyone can give me by way of knowing where I can get a full electrical diagram would be a huge help.. Thanks..
  6. That's cool.. it's also got me thinking, were due this July.. where can I get shirts like those? lol:whistling:
  7. Thanks Bill.. I'll be putting one of those together this winter.. I plan on tearing my bike down to fix some eletrical problems and a 2nd gear problem.. That sinc will be nice when I put it all back together..
  8. Hos did all that fit? pretty easy to install?
  9. Thank you Rick! That's exacally what I was looking for.. Wouldn't happen to know of where I could find a shop manual now would you?
  10. Last week I bought an 84 Venture XVZ12 and I am looking for a copy of the owners manual. A guy from work who has a 92 Venture 1300 Royale loaned me his manual which I took home and scanned into a .pdf file. The PDF file is 14.5 megs. I was hoping to find someone that might be willing to do the same for a 1st gen. venture owners manual. If you would like a copy of the 2nd gen. owners manual that I have, just let me know and I can send it to you. But if you have a copy or know someone with a copy of a 1st gen. venture manual please send it my way. Thank you, Todd A.K.A. LokoLobo LokoLobo@Yahoo.com
  11. I was actually hoping to find a kit or some modification to put a radio with cd player into it.. But I sort of want a radio that is easy to operate while riding. I read something on here about a guy that installed a marine radio with a remote, I'm not all that mechanical and didn't really understand the directions he posted on how to do it. Guess I'm looking for something easy.
  12. I just bought an 84 Venture. It did not come with a radio. I would like to find a radio and speakers that will fit in the faring. I'm ok with aftermarket, just has to be weather resistant. Any one know of any place that might have bike radio's that will fit inside the faring?
