Yama Mama Posted July 1, 2012 Share #1 Posted July 1, 2012 This past Friday, I went out to pick up a plant that had fallen over, because it was getting a little windy. I noticed it was getting darker, so I went to close Moped's window on his car. We live on a heavily wooded lot. As I turned to go in the garage, I heard a big cracking of wood and then a loud BOOM! As you will see, there were three cars for the tree to land on, and it decided on our son's car. The following photos explain what happened. mini-muffin Posted July 1, 2012 Share #4 Posted July 1, 2012 Glad it was just the car and not any of you. It can be replaced you can't. Will the insurance cover replacing the car? From those pics I really don't see it being fixable. Margaret
Yama Mama Posted July 1, 2012 Author Share #5 Posted July 1, 2012 The insurance people will be here tomorrow. The first one Ron spoke to said that we will have to drive it to the auto body shop. Ron said,"Mam I do not think that is possible!", then she said she would have some one come and tow it to the body shop. Ron said,"Mam, I do not think this car is exactly able to be fixed!". Then she said, well we could have some one come to your home and Ron agreed that would probably be the best decision. The Lady asked if any one was hurt and Ron says, not that he is aware of! So now, I am laughing! Then she says, it is a shame about your car, and Ron says, "yes, it was my favorite!" I guess you had to be there. It was sort of a thank God, we are alive event to say the least. We just now got our cable and internet back. You know how I need the internet! dingy Posted July 1, 2012 Share #6 Posted July 1, 2012 Better the car than your recently retired self. I think the car took the hit better than you would have. Gary

darthandy Posted July 1, 2012 Share #10 Posted July 1, 2012 Glad everyone was OK. This could be a chance for some real wild custom work ending up with a strictly four passenger Merc with each passenger having their own little cubicle of car. Just sayin... Phoneman1981 Posted July 1, 2012 Share #11 Posted July 1, 2012 Glad no one was hurt. Do not fall in love with anything that cannot love you back. But I have to admit, I laughed when I saw the Mercedes emblem on the trunk lid. Never fails.

gscbertrand Posted July 3, 2012 Share #21 Posted July 3, 2012 It could be repaired, the difference between a right off and a repair is money. The worth of the vehicle is what matters.
