Yes sir! I'm not getting too ahead of myself. I'm saving up about 5 grand for a down payment. We're looking at a 2021 plus, low mileage for hopefully less than $20,000. There's a beautiful 2018 with only 8000 miles in Lincoln, and they're only asking $15,999 for it. Really tempted to get that one. The 2021 and up have upgraded audio and a bigger trunk with better rear backrest for the passenger. I'll have graduated with my Associates in Civil Engineering in May and this will be a gift to myself! As for the Venture. Got the tank taken off and rust proof-ed and very happy with the results. Its a decent sized job, but really not too terrible. Looks tougher than it is!

Most likely it's time for new gaskets. Stay away from the chicom gaskets. They will not seal.

Got called in to work this morning and may work well into midnight. We will have lots of snow moving in the area I guess that is why we have so many call outs today. No riding for me this week.

Got the convertible out yesterday and just rode around and today it's gonna be cold and windy I think I'll just stay in the house.

Not likely to work. The bolts have shoulders on them that only allow the bolts to be threaded in sooo far. Pull one out to see it.

I got 136kon my 2002 rsv, changed plugs at 70k, only because I was in there putting valve cover gaskets on, stills runs great

We went to Tulsa where it was 75° and sunny 😎 Then we came home and were promptly snow on! And we still have a month of winter left😢

Good morning to all. Almost most of the snow has melted away after having temps in the 40's. It has been very foggy in the early morning hours though. A few more weeks and we can start talking more about bikes and rides and everything else. Have a great day.

I know another ole VentureRider member from way back that has made reservations recently. He doesn't ride anyone, but he is bringing his motorhome and dog.

@Chaharly Best of luck on working on your bike. Those leaks are never fun to work on. You still have time before riding season really officially starts for most folks. Perhaps the Goldwing can come sooner than later?

Finally getting around to my "winter" projects and wanted to double-check if anyone here might have a Barron's lowering kit they'd be willing to sell before I go and buy a new kit.

Good morning folks. Had a rash of VERY unseasonably warm weather here in Nebraska this week. We got 190 miles in on sunday. Now I'm tearing the bike apart to once again tackle the rust in the fuel tank problem. The bike has also developed a nasty leak which is coming from what I believe to be the clutch cover. Blows oil all over me and the bike after awhile. Will tear the carbs apart one more (and for the last time, i swear) time and try to solve the idle issue. We're upgrading to a sixth gen goldwing this fall/winter.
