  2. I've been here since 2007 I think. Thank You Freebird, I just received your memo.
  3. Little late on the reply, been a while since I logged in. I live about 3hrs West of you in Moorseville, NC
  4. I replaced mine last winter for the same reason & tightening didn't do anything on mine. I added some RTV at the half circles when I replaced them and its been perfect since. Replacing the gaskets is fairly easy, its just tight working in that area. What got me was figuring since I was doing that, I might as well check the valve adjustments, then I was like what the hell, might as well replace the twinkie gaskets & rebuild the carbs... which let to Ivan's jet kit & figuring out how to re-set my float heights. Then while waiting for some parts I tore off the swingarm to re-pack the all the bearings which lead to re-packing the wheel bearings too, lol. Ended up having it stripped down & tinkering with it for over a month. I enjoy wrenching tho so I was looking for excuses to be in the garage. Upside is the bike has never run better and its nice not to have oil dripping down the back of the engine!

  6. Thank you Don for all you do! I glad I got to meet you at the last maintenance day. I really enjoyed it. I just wished I had come to earlier one’s.

  8. Yahhhh, I don't visit as much as I used to, but I still love the site for what it gives us,, well at least some of us. Thanks for keeping it going Don.
  9. Maybe "Don't have to" but I will! This forum is by far the best online family one could ask for. Thank you Don, for all that you do to keep this site going
  10. Yesterday
  11. Yes. But you don’t have to.
  12. If we leave the 12.00 going is still goes to you correct? Letting it continue is much easier than trying to figure out how to stop it.
  13. Thanks Bob I have always enjoyed your site. Got alot of info from it
  14. Thanks, Don. I'll be here as long as it exists....or I do..... Thanks for all you do. !!!
  15. Our site has really declined over the past few years. I think it's a combination of some of our ,members simply aging out and the fact that Facebook has taken over a lot of this type site. After much consideration, I have made a big decision in an effort to keep this place going. I have promoted all current subscribing members to Lifetime Members. That means that you will no longer have to pay. My way of thanking you all for the years of support. NOTE: I THINK you all need to go to you PayPal account and cancel your membership there if you have it set to auto renew. I can't do that from buy end. There will still her a one time membership of 12.00 for any new ,members. This ix just an attempt to dissuade spammers from joining. I also extend this offer to any of our old members who have let their memberships expire. If you are one of those,,. Just send ,e a message and I will reinstate you.

  25. It was 74 Sunday and 78 Monday here in Omaha. I got the bike put back together and put 240 miles on Sunday and fought the wind, but still had a good time. Monday I put 35-40 miles on the bike on the way home from work (I live about 6 miles from work lol) and rode to work yesterday. Woke up to over an inch of snow on the ground this morning lol Ride Safe!
  26. Good morning to all. Yesterday, I was able to ride to and from work and it felt great! Temperature was in the mid 70's and it marked my first ride of the year. My RSV fired right away and she was ready to go. Ride safe everyone.
