I also have a '66 Rambler I need to get on the road and repair the convertible top mechanism in a '72 Skylark.

Replace wiring harness & switches - ready to put in

Upgrade instrument cluster - ready to put in

Replace valve cover gaskets - ready to put in

Fix valve clearances - Done, need to do again on new engine

Replace transmission - don't have to do, 1300 doesn't have 2nd gear issue

Replace clutch plates - don't have to do, well within specs

Replace & relocate TCI

Upgrade starter & battery wiring

Replace rear shock with one with spring - ready to put in

add grease zerts to rear linkage - done

Possibly rewind stator

Clean carbs - done

Clean & paint frame

New stuff to do

Replace 1200 engine with a 1300, put cams in from my 1200

replace valve springs with vmax springs, there on the way here

Add 2002 FJR rear end ready to go in, need shim from sky doc 17

Probably put clutch in from my 1200, I like helical spring set up

Got this one scoped out since my 97 is brand new (to me) and I can't ride it 'cause of the weather:

- Remove Cobra Drag Pipes and sell them

- Find good, clean '97 RSTD OEM mufflers - buy and install

- Remove trailer hitch and sell it

- Remove/replace Coolant

- Remove/replace all Brake fluid including Clutch lines

- Drain/replace rear fluid

- Change oil/filter

- Replace air filter

- Replace spark plugs

- Install additional lighting in the rear; at a minimum add night rider bar

- Install Stebel Air horn

- Install Ram mount for GPS and figure out how to run power to it

I have a friggen hanging heater in the garage and it is just to dang cold to go out there and get started. It has been below zero for a while and I Hate it! Next week it may reach freezing whoopy friggen do! Did I mention I hate winter the older I get? :crying:

Jobs is coming along. Boss is good to work for and the job pays the bills. I wasn't my dream job but I think I can grow to like it.

It is a lot closer to the house and cost a lot less in fuel to get here. GOOD FOR ME!

All you boys down south enjoy the nice weather your having I am sending as much south as I can. I think Squidley is loading it into his trailer when he comes back.
