My daughter is graduating Marine corp basic training. We have ridden many miles on my Goldwing and I will be surprizing her by picking her up at the Airport Friday Night on my 2011 RSV. She has no idea I have the bike. In the last three months all we got was a call last Sunday for 6 minutes and of course letters. I am so very proud of her. She will be a member of the Marine Corp Band. She still has to attend combat training in 24 days. My Mom, Wife and Son have gone down to bring her back. I cant go since I am the Head Football Coach at my High School and we have an upcoming scrimmage. I have a trip planned leaving for Washington Island which is off the tip of Door County, WI. You have to take a ferry to get there. She doesnt know this trip is planned either. It will be fun for the both of us as we visit the various State Parks Sunday on the way home. Semper Fi

I am out looking for a ram mount......that is the circumference of the handlebars? I have a 2011 RSV. I am not with my bike to measure it.

I enjoyed Stardays. I spent too much money but what the heck. I got a backrest, Half Cover and the saddlebag rails. Everything was installed there. My question is who was the vendor selling the GPS mounts? I would like to try to give them some business. I was on the Blue 2011 RSV.

I am about to get a zumo model gps. My question is could I wire the given chord to my battery tender chord using the proper adapter? I was thinking of doing this to avoid making extra connections to the battery.

I have a Droid X and am looking to use the GPS on it. Does anyone have it mounted? I have seen the cases and just want to make sure what I buy works. Secondally, does anyone use the Butler cup holders? I was wondering about clearance for the tank. TYIA

Just came home with a 2011 Blue RSV. Still trying to get used to everything. It is not as friendly as my wing was but will be a great ride. I am just having the riding lights added for now. What do most people do to light up that back end of the bike? My wing was loaded with lights on the back.

Well I did it. Took a look at the Voyager today....rode nice but couldnt get the financing right. All in all I will be spending 1000 more for a 2011 Venture instead of a 2010 Kawasaki. I had the dealership set up the Kawasaki like the yamaha with the accessories. We shall see. I am getting it from Yamaha of Mukwonago. What also sold me is their riders club. I was the vise president of my Honda Riders club and that club fell apart but made riding fun. The only question I do have is how loud are the sampson pipes? It comes with them or I can go stock. Again they are $500 extra.:cool10:

I am looking at a 2011. I did watch the video where the guy removed the windshield and installs the secondary plug. Taking stuff apart scares me....lol -
I am coming from the wing and with that you could listen to the radio and then if the CB kicked in it would mute the radio and you would hear the CB. The dealer told me this system is independent meaning you either listen to the radio or switch to CB and listen for that. Also if I was to purchase a GPS would I be able to plug it into the aux near the cassette and have that work with the CB and radio. Hope my question makes sense.

The price quoted was 17699.....does that sound fair? That is without tax title and license. He had some aftermarket pipes on it for an extra $500.

I think you have convinced me. I am going to look at a red 2011 one in Mukwonago at the Yamaha Dealer. They are advertizing a costom IPOD system with it.

I am in the market for a cycle and have narrowed it dowm to the Venture or Voyager. I had a 2003 Goldwing but had to sell it because of the riding position. I like the standard features the Venture comes with and the Warranty. I am a 300lb guy and ride one up almost all the time. Are there any power issues with the 1300CC engine? I was leaning to the Voyager with the 1700cc but need advice from current owners. TYIA
