    thanks. what about the air in the forks? the line that comes up thru the ignition cover is missing. will i need with progressive springs. i also want to remove the class system. with the progressive rear spring do this? i want to lighten the bike up for some performance gains. really not going to be going 2up.

    skydoc told me about changing my forks to next gen so i can add r1 calipers and bigger rotors. has anyone done this? i would like to see some pics and write up. right now , my forks bottom out, the air line is missing, and brakes are weak at best. i was considering just doing the whole "shabang".

    thanks jeff. he didnt bend at all on the 239.00. at ricks i can get a stator and new rectifier for about the same price. looks like everything on my 83 is stock, and hasnt been replaced. only 32k on it.

    wow. ricks motorsports is almost 100.00 cheaper. has anyone had any luck with the ebay stators?

    i did tell him i was a member. and yes, he stated that includes the gaskets. his website states 239.00 regularly???......

    its an overlay for the face. there is a video tutorial on their site. it just slides over the needles. they even offer needle paint.

    oops on the spelling. skydoc has an 87 cluster he can donate. i also need an 83-85 cluster. not sure about the km/h. on their facebook page, they say they charge 19.99 for white guages and 49.99 for colors. but if you check the correct link, there are all kinds of colors. really would dress up the dash.

    OK, FIRST OF ALL, THANKS EARL AND KARL. I REALLY APRRECIATE YOUR HELP. I RECIEVED THE FUSE BLOCK KIT, AND INSTALLED IT PER DIRECTIONS. I HAD ONLY ONE QUESTION, AND EARL WALKED ME THRU IT OVER THE PHONE. THANKS AGAIN! I FELT SO INSPIRED, THAT I REMOVED THE CMU TO SEE IF I HAD BROKEN SOLDER JOINTS. MAYBE THATS WHY I HAD NO TAILLIGHTS. YEP, SURE DID! I RESOLDERED THOSE AND VOILA!!, TAILLIGHTS!. THEN, AS I WAS RIDING TODAY, MY TACH KEPT DROPPING TO ZERO, BIKE SPUTTERS, THAT BACK TO NORMAL. CHECK OUT SOME THREADS, AND DECIDED TO CHECK OUT STATOR WIRING. HOLY CRAP! TALK ABOUT A MESS! SO I REPAIRED THE ENDS WITH WATERPROOF BUTT CONNECTORS, NO MORE SPUTTER. THIS SIGHT IS AWESOME!!:cool10:

    new mk1 rider here. i also found out this bike does not like 3rd gear at 30-35mph. i live on the beach where most of the speed limits are 30. definately 2nd gear!
