home made set up for wet setting floats on the bench
saddlebum replied to saddlebum's topic in Watering Hole
Ok so if you go back to my initial post 1st I use the pressurized set up in order to duplicate the 2.5 PSI delivery pressure of the fuel pump. The hose connection at the fire extinguisher is connected to an internal tube which goes to the bottom of the inside of the cylinder. the schrader valve pressurizes the cylinder causing the fuel to go up the tube and supply pressure to the carb at 2.5 PSI. 2nd the level is checked by measuring the distance from the top of the fuel level in the clear tube to the center of the diaphragm (In My case the center line is actually marked on the float bowl). This the fuel level should be 14 mm +/- 0.5 mm below the center line. and yes you do have to remove the bowel to make an adjustment but since the carb is on the bench its no big deal and I feel this method best duplicates actual operating conditions of the carb. -

What do mean again....When was there even another time. Last time we Canadians had to sing your own National Anthem for you USA,USA,USA...... Boys cause you forgot the words. Seems Bongobobny was the only one who knew them. Lucky for him us Canucks were there to sing along side him so he didnt have to sing alone.

Ok in that case STEAMER is forgiven which is easy since we like him and of course as Canuckians we are world renowned for our niceness and sense of forgiveness . We even spell American with a capital "A" as a sign of respect. Ugh speaking of ice cream that was good stuff, good call on the ice cream truck:fnd_(16)::fnd_(16):

So it was Steamer was it. though I gotta say since you snitched and let the cat outta the bag .....I imagine Steamer will be looking to get even with you while he trys to avoid the Canuckians at the same time. ...

Congrats on the new Grandson Puc. And sorry to hear tweaks got a bit shook up , Glad you and Tippy are Ok though could have been a lot worse.

Why just cuss he calls us snow Mexicans. I know far too many great folks and have too many cherished friends south of the border to let the comments of one person get under my skin and I believe most Canadians see it the same way. I just hope that all us everyday folk see past the politics on both sides of the border and don't start butt'n heads over it. P/S one day I hope to make the trip from Ontario to PIP and meet more of the good folk from the land south of our border in the mean time I hope all that show up at PIP have one heck of a great time.

Glad they made it safe and sound and hope all goes well with the delivery of Grandchild Puc. Hey Puc I know your excited but don't be covering the poor babe with stickers .....at least not before he gets his 1st diaper on.

truth be known I have to take responsibility for the Canadian loss since I got my right and left mixed up at the start line but even so we were quickly gaining ground and only lost by nose. Should have worn my moose hat. with the bigger nose.

So as I stated earlier made home in great shape around or just after 2:00 pm but found I was either too wound up, or too exhausted not sure which to do a lengthy post. The ride home was a great ride up until the border were I got separated from the rest while going through customs. Once I finally got through I lost sight of everybody and while attempting to find me way to the Tim Horton's found myself entangled in some construction Detours and ended up on unfamiliar Roads. Finally I managed to find an access to the QEW were once I was on familiar ground Got hold of Marcarl to let him know not to wait for me and as to why. The traffic was smooth sailing and other than a being cut off by a couple of high powered cars, one being a corvette and the other a firebird, racing each other at high speed cutting in and out of traffic and cutting people off constantly all the way, the traffic was moving along smoothly and at just above the posted speed limit. There was one accident were two cars were on the center shoulder the front car having been rear ended by the rear car. Interestingly enough the front car also had his front fender and corner smashed like he had been cut off but no third car was in sight, so I kind of wondered if one of those racing maniacs was not part of the problem. As far as the Rally goes it was another great time and I really enjoyed myself again as always. Meeting up with old friends and meeting new members is always a great time. It was extra special to see some of the folks That I had not seen for a couple of years and to see them show up again. As always the NY crew did a great a job and I can't wait for next years event ( not that I am in a hurry to add another year to my age or nutthi'n) but it is one of the highlights of my summer to attend this event each year and spend time with a group of my favorite people. The music was great and I enjoyed the movies. For all the fine lady's who put their time into this For the gents who put their time into this And for big Tom

That is sad news for sure. With homes and forests being destroyed and hopefully not too many lives lost its not the kind of news you want to hear.
-
Well that won't do you always go.

So when and what time are any Southern Ontario riders going to WNY.

I couldn't cut the grass even if I wanted to. I cut it once 30 maybe 40 years ago and she did not like the way I cut it so told me not to bother cutting it anymore She said just leave it she will cut it. Now I just supervise
