  1. Thanks, What I figured too. 10 emails in one day is a little much.
  2. Can someone tell me how they work. I have a friend who put a car on Craigslist. A man from Texas called wanting it. No haggle on price, no questions, will send a truck to pick it up. Just wants her paypal account to send money. Thanks Richard
  3. Thanks for the reply. I will be 70 my next birthday and I am reaching the place where I sometimes struggle a bit with stops and slow speeds with 2 up. I am not ready to stop riding or adding more wheels yet. If a smaller front tire would help me in that area for awhile, it would be something I would be willing to try. How does it effect the bike at higher speeds? I do ride at highway speeds a good amount of the time, but would be willing to sacrifice some, since I do fine on that end. Thanks Richard
  4. Has anyone switched their front tire to a 130/90-16. If so, whats the purpose? Richard
  5. I pull a 5th wheel with a flatbed trailer loaded with a motorcycle. Never have had a cop give me a second look. In the 90's and early 2000's I pulled a 5th wheel with a pickup behind the 5th wheel. Never had a problem. I have a friend with a bumper pull camper. He put a trailer with a trike behind it. The first hill he went down, he said he swapped ends three times before he got to the bottom. The 5th wheel I have now is only 20+ ft. mc trailer is 10 ft. The 5th wheel I had back then was 32 ft. Richard
  6. I understand what you are saying. I have used a couple that are wet clutch friendly. I think additives are bikers " Snake Oil" anyway. They can't make enough money on oil alone, so they came up with more oil with a new name and different bottle and sell it for ten times the price. Pretty sweet deal. I was just looking for some more input on Bel Ray than the salesman who sold it to me, but thanks anyway. Richard
  7. I'm really not interested in a debate on what oil is best or who uses what. . I thought I'd tried them all until the Bel Ray came to my attention.Just looking for opinions on the Bel Ray oil from someone who has used it. Thanks Richard
  8. So, what weight do you use in the final drive? Thanks Richard
  9. Went to a new bike shop yesterday looking for Aimsoil. He talked me into buying Bel Ray. It is the blend 10W40. My bike has gotten worse at shift clunking and engine noise on Rotella even with additives. After an oil change last week and no improvement, I had decided to give Aimsoil another try. After Bel Ray, I took a short trial run and no shift clunk and way less engine noise, even sounds better than when I used Aimsoil. Since I've never heard of it or don't remember seeing a thread on it, just wondering if anyone else uses it or has an opinion on it. Thanks Richard
  10. For many years, Oklahoma just asked if you wanted one when you got a cage license. I guess it finally dawned on them they were passing up a lot of money. Aw, the good old days will never be back. Richard
  11. I got it last winter, only used it a couple times. Used it once this winter. I've had it over a year, probably. I found a couple of them, but both were out of stock. If I remember, I had the same problem when looking for the jacket liner. Out of stock. It's the one with a green and red button. Round on one end. Big single cable on the other. three leds. Made in China, (I'm sure that helps. ) I found a couple on ebay, but they were different.
  12. I'm 150 miles from home and turned my jacket on and zip, zero, nada. Third time I've used it. After I got home and thawed out, I checked for power, got juice. I go to take the controller apart, but I don't have a phillips small enough. I get on internet and look for controller, Out of stock. Anyone know where I might find one? Thanks Richard
  13. Opps, never mind, I have a short. When I pull on the wire, I get results and smoke. It's coming from below the battery. It doesn't look like a handy place to be looking for a problem. Richard
  14. I think I'm making headway. The bike was autostart, I unplugged the box and the lights went out. I plugged it back in and everything is normal. Probably just temperary. Since I don't know how to test it for sure, my next step is find another relay. Thanks for your help, Richard
  15. Sorry to take so long to reply, Is it located below the coolant res.?. That's whats in front of my battery. Is it also called the "starter relay" for short or is it different. Whats the best way to get to it? Thanks Richard
  16. On the way home from Daytona, the two red lights in the bottom corners started flickering. One is oil & the other is temp. They flicker at the same rate. When I turn the key on, every now and then the engine starts without the starter button being pressed and I have to rev it to get the starter to disingage. The lights flicker eradic and different brightness. They never blink unless in gear.A dealer service manager thought it might be a loose ground, but bumps don't effect the flickers. Some days this happens and some days it doesn't. I rode over a 1000 miles to get home and the engine is fine. I feel it may be a switch since I've proded, giggled, poked everything I can think of. I think it has to have the lights, starter and tranny in common. Any thing like this happen to anyone? Anyone have any ideas where to start? I'm afraid to get far from home. Thanks Richard
  17. Just asking. I don't believe the quality of today is as good as a few years ago. Are you guys sending the tires back because they are made better today or because ageing takes a toll on them. They have been stored inside. Like I said, I don't have a cat in this fight, I'm just asking. Richard
  18. Thanks for the response, my AIS has been disabled. Would I be better off to plug all four ports. I have two plugged now. Will I need to sync again if I plug all four? Thanks Richard
  19. Has anyone tried this and in your opinion did it improve performance and milage as claimed. Thanks Richard
  20. I'm chuggin down I40 and look over and a piece of the case is floppin in the wind. I reach over and touch it and GONE. I figure there's not much reason to stop and look for it, so I stop at the next exit and it has cracked all around the two screws that hold it on and is starting up the end. I tape it till I get home.Looked sharp all wrapped with black elec tape. Yami wants $836, EBay wants $213. Wali World wants $2 bucks. Super Glue. Now, 3 tubes later, I'm still chasing cracks. This thing looks like a road map. I'm wondering if I need to put this thing in a plastic case. Richard
  21. You people ain't normal. If I can get my door open, I'll show you a picture of a real Garage. Richard
  22. The bracket is held on by 2 hex. The caliper is held on by 2 allen. I'm sure they are factory because they are very unique. They are only threaded down from the head about 1" and the rest slides into the calipers to let them float on the rotors. I think the problem is they were tightened down so tight, they galded to the aluminum caliper. The axle was so tight, I had to use a cheater bar to get it broken loose. The P.O. must have had nightmares about going down the highway with no front wheel and no brakes or something. Richard
  23. I have a buddy that's a Snap On guru. I'll check with him tomorrow. Thank Richard
  24. It was an allen,now it's a roundallen.
  25. It felt like they were in so tight that they had started to strip the threads when they quit tightening them. It didn't look like it was seized. Then when I loosened them, some of the threads on the aluminum side came out with the bolts. I have already gone to vise grips with no luck. I'm not 100% sure I even want it out at this point. It's not a problem until I need pads or a new tire. Maybe if I save the front brakes and just use the rear, I can pass it on to the next fella. Sounds like a weiner,HUH. Thanks Richard
