LOL I had a young airman one night we were refuling my c141. He was running the back hose and I was up front supervising so I could see whole aircraft. We had just disconn hose and he took off running to wingtip and sat down. It was like 15 deg in Oklahoma @ 2am. Here he is pulling his boots off and sockts. I went over to see what the heck? The socks were stuck "on" and burning his feet up. I laughed pretty good for a few minutes and poked fun. Then I chewed his butt out for operating a possible ignition source while we were refueling. Geeze some people just dont think.

I would say if you can afford the Michelin Commander 2 go for it. I had a pair on my 09 ang got over 17k on them. Could have got more, but had a trip scheduled with wife and wanted error on safe side. When I changed them I went back to a oem size front. LOL After riding the 130 for a couple years I had to just about learn to turn in and corner all over again. The 130 is definatly a good move in my book. I will go back to it next change.

I took and measured how high I thought I wanted my windshield. I had awindshield off my 900 vulcan and it was a memphis shades. So I cut it off and modified it to fit the RSV. I missed it by about an inch to 2 inches in heighth. Get some head buffit, but its livable short trips, say an hour or so. She wears a 3/4 bell mag 8 as do I most time. Solo I have a 1\2 scorpion es100 or something with a hide away visor.

Cool Glad your back safe. I wondered on the weather as previously mentioned. Our weather here has been sort of cockeyed the last couple weeks. And the fog up your way sonded like it was thick some days. You think Fla is boring on I 10, just wait for the part from Lousiana to mesquet texas. -
While I was in the USAF I had some thick wool socks issued. I wore my regular type cotton socks and then the wool over them. A couple years ago I found some under armor socks that actually keep feet pretty dang warm. Or you could go the battery type hunting socks.

Also as a side note. I found out that if you have the chrome cover looking things on the OEM air box, they will not accept a OEM yamaha filter. I forget exactly what the interfearenc is. But I serviced a friends that had these chrome ones on it and I had a like new pair of OEM off my 09. They wouldn't fit the covers back on. The one on the right is the one that came out of the chrome one.

What I noticed going up the most atleast for me in the last say oh 3 times I have had to shop insurance. Weather for bike or cages, un or under insured vehicles. On my 96 PU I cut the comp down to like 1000 or 1500 deductible. My uninsured is almost what the rate is. Never more true than here in Fla. Those of us in the middle of the state are still paying for those that were wiped out because they built on the beach in Port Charlotte or the east coast back when Charlie came thru.

I have never figured out how in my 6000 lb truck they can make me wear a seat belt. On the motorcycle I have an option of wearing a safety device? Daaaaa On the Obamacare thing, its totaly understandable. While I was active duty military (gov provided health care) on base we were required to wear helmets, shoes etc. They told us thar even though Oklahoma state law did not require a helmet, our health care may not pay for our injuries if not wearing a helmet. In a way it makes sense. If you dont care enough about protecting yourself, why should they. If you sign off on your insurance that you dont want to be hooked up to machines for 10yr or something fine. In nonhelmet law states everyone pays for the higher "probability" of long term major head trauma recovery and life support. Just some observations.

Lucky for Barry he has a Goldwing now so a little larger fuel capacity and MPG.

Dan rather than spend quite a bit on a new windshield I rummaged thru the garage and found a windshield off my 900 vulcan I had when I replaced it with a fairing. It was a Memphis shades Phat. I laid the RSV windshield on top after I measured about how high I wanted it. Then cut it off at the bottom and drilled holes to fit. With the tour deluxe I don't know what kind of options you might have if one of the less expensive replacement types will work and you can swap back and forth.

Thats excellent PR if you ask me. Especially after some of the moaning and groaning I head at beginning of the year with guys trying to get Gerblings heated gear warranted. Its supposed to have a "lifetime" and I guess they sold and sold and now current owners of company say TS we didn't make that claim.

WOW they are going to replace a10yr old helmet?? Sugested life of most helmets is only 5yr I think. Thats pretty good in my book. I had a fulmer years ago. Was a pretty comfy well fitting lid.

Well after Sunday ride up to the strawberry festival and oh 3hr or so riding time this weekend, I've had enough of the HD muffs for awhile. lol Changed back to the OEMs again. -
Neat idea. I could see it being useful. Especially for those that someone in the house thinks that garage means storage area.

I had for quite awhile one of the ebay specials. Wasnt to bad, but after a ouple months I had to gorilla glue one of the swivel parts. No problem as by then I had figured where I want it. Then maybe a year or so later the other adjustment simular thing and fix. Over all I got my 8 buck ot whatever out of it. I replaced it with a ram mount X type. -

The just passed some kinf of law dealing with unlocking your phone when your contract is up if you bought it under a contact. But a pay as you go deal I would think falls under the "paid up " contract. Surley ther is some teenage hacker that can do it near by.

I have maybe an odd view. But I personaly think those that want to throw thier weight around to show you the are in charge would do it weather a LEO or a valet parking lot attendant. Unfortunatly it has a worse effect if its already someone with a position of authority.

Boy the weather dont look to be stacking up good for you.
