    Was it the shaft from trans to rear end or from the rear end to the wheel hub ? Either way I'm glad you caught it before it fully detached. Thanks for the heads up on a potential problem.

    No to a hose on drain. is it wet above the drain screw ? If not then drain screw seal is leaking.

    I have a set of 2012 Ultra Glide pipes on the bike now, not drilled and they suit me just fine as is. If there's a way to quiet the Samsons without changing the tone I'd be interested.

    I too have a set of Samson slash cut pipes . I love the sound, just not the volume. Especially when pulling the trailer.
