All depends on how deep his pockets are. Zumo can't be beat if you have lots to spend. Next would be a Garmin 276C, but it doesn't have blutooth or MP3. Next on my list is a Garmin 765T ( I have this one) it does everything the Zumo does, except it's not waterproof and the screen washes out in bright sunlight. The 765t has bluetooth, MP3, FM transmitter, custom routing and lifetime traffic, the only problem with the traffic is it only works in select markets. Overall the 765T is your best bang for the buck. Pick them up on ebay or amazon.

If you used those blue scotch quick connectors, get them out of there and solder the connections, the high draw of that circuit doesn't like those connectors. PO had mine done that way. Something is backfeeding low voltage. Disconnect the lamps and check for that 4.3V

Also check to be sure the brights are off. Factory setup shuts off driving lamps when the brights are on.

Next time just use one of the extra screws that are in the side covers, that's why the engineers put them there.
